Noblesville Illini

1st team Max Preps All American
Ha was about to say by that logic we should be more excited about Brandon Lee but a year later he's in the transfer portal end Keaton's about to be the lottery pickOf course. The "experts" ranked a few hundred guys ahead of him.
not gonna lie, I really wanted Blackwell. upon further review, that "loss" may end up as a win. loving what Coleman brings. he's gonna be a problem straight out of the box. give him all the minutes, you don't put the reins on a thoroughbred. it starts in ~5 weeks. can't wait
Not saying this in any recency type of way but it's uncanny how much his play resembles Wagler. The smooth shot, stepbacks, etc. Seems to be a bit more explosive though a tad shorter. Maybe an even more dangerous scoring threat. I agree with the minutes as well. The rest can be allocated between Vaaks, Mirk, Stojakovic and Morillo but I'd like to see a veteran or experienced player in the rotation as well.
Coleman is going to be so good out the jump considering his play now, but especially when you take into account he'll be on the Fletch program for a few months before the season starts. As we've seen, it's elite.
Think Coleman can average 15-20+ points next season.
The part I like the best is he was efficient too. Shot almost 70% for the game. Oh and he did this thing our coach likes amd rebounded as a guard.yeah, pretty good:
kid's got it going on. this is gonna be fun. we're gonna be a flippin' wagon
Play the kid a ton in the pre B10 schedule. It could realy pay off for Coleman and the Illini later. I wanted Blackwell too but in todays world of NIL moneyball roster consruction the staffs knack of being able to see potential in young players like Mirk, KJ, Will, and it appears again with Coleman are huge. It saves $$ for other roles when they nail it. I think early signs are they have again. Blackwell may be better next year but i think Colemans ceiling is higher long term as is our teams with this approach. The staff is killing it . I will be estatic if we can use one of the remaining spots and $$ they saved by not adding Blackwell on a transfer or Euro piece for the Ben role. They dont need to be a star to make our squad better but the staff has earned my trust, i also wouldnt be shocked if they do eventually find a 4 that can defend a bit vs bigs and strecth the floor. Eithee way it is set to be a fun ride.not gonna lie, I really wanted Blackwell. upon further review, that "loss" may end up as a win. loving what Coleman brings. he's gonna be a problem straight out of the box. give him all the minutes, you don't put the reins on a thoroughbred. it starts in ~5 weeks. can't wait
Really don't think this will be the case.Think Coleman can average 15-20+ points next season.
A Few too many turnovers for my liking and he did lead his team with a -8 in the plus minus but the shot does play. I would be careful comparing him to Keaton, Keaton had 4 turnovers twice all year.
Give it time. There will be posts on here that will find something to !!!!! about it.Three-point champion and MVP? I'll accept it.

Heard Illinois will get a little more serious about some Euro targets this month.
We just need a 9th man whose good enough to get into games, compete, play hard, etc. Probably average 2 or 3 points per game for the season, but provide valuable depth. It kinda depends on who is available/offered to them. More of a development piece or already established younger player.
