Here it is: Mason Martin, Breakaway Basketball -- Back in January, Martin quietly committed to home state Illinois. This weekend is 247Sports first chance to get an extended look at the 6-foot-5 two guard and we have learned one very important thing, he could be one of the best shooters in the class of 2027. Martin is armed with an absolute strap from deep and needs little time or space to let it fly from deep. He was torching the nets from deep all day while making a combined 16 threes in two games while going for 32 and 26 points.

excerpt from article:

Martin: "...we have learned one very important thing, he could be one of the best shooters in the class of 2027. I think it's safe to say that we took Martin on his own merits, not because he's Kelly's running mate

You can’t trick me! Arizona does not border the ocean. /s
one blonde driving down a desert highway sees another blonde sitting in a rowboat in the sand and rowing her heart out. The blonde in the car pulls over and yells...."you know it's blondes like you who give the rest of us a bad name! And if I knew how to swim I'd come out there and kick your butt!"

Probably happened in Arizona...true story. Really...it is.

To go with @FI_890526.

This is not just a decision for now, it's for next year as well. He wants to play in the NBA, so it will be valuable for him to get this experience before the combine and draft next year.
Oh man, if he does stay in the draft imagine the egg on the face of the staff. Would be a huge fail

Not shocked, nor is the staff. Andrej will be back, going to be a valuable three weeks for him going into next season.

Have heard our last add is expected to be a European. As said before, my expectation is sometime over the summer. If 5/5 passes, the door will open for Kylan as well, but we will see.
Has KB moved on and just wants to focus on professional ball?

Gonna need an explanation on the Mich love here, seen them all over preseason lists. Guess I'm not buying their comeback after losing 3 - 1st rounders. Though maybe I'm a lot lower on Cadeau than most people.
I agree 100%. You can't completely guy a team by removing 3 NBA players, then multiple seniors and plop them in the top 5. It's the era of the portal and projections, I suppose.

I feel like Morillo is a bigger downgrade from Ben than Vaaks is from Wagler.
I'll never claim to be the sharpest tack in the drawer, but this statement is baffling. I don't think Morillo was recruited or intended to be a Humrichous replacement. Other than Morillo being tall for a guard, their games are not really comparable.

Last season's bench: Davis, Humrichous, Z
(Andrej was literally our second best player, so for all intends and purposes, I'll count him as a starter)

This season's bench: Davis, Morillo, Z

Their games may be (vastly) different, but the only "replacement" there is Humrichous for Morillo.

Morillo is a guard and Ben is a PF? Why compare! Apples to oranges🤷‍♂️
Btw, Vaaks as a sophomore could put up Keaton numbers this year playing on a much more talented team.
At this point we really can’t call anyone a downgrade. Might want to predict less and actually wait and see how things look once our season starts!
