I'm so good at this lol. (It's probably near impossible to see on mobile, but I had Purdue, Arizona, and Kansas in the Final 4 with Kansas beating Arizona.

Anyone know how approximately many entries there are in the CBS Sports Mens Bracket Challenge? This is the one the offer for you to join when you enter the Loyalty challenge on CBS. The pool shows me my rank in the pool. Without knowing how many entries there were, it is hard to know if it is good or bad.

I'm still in favor of going to something closer to 1,2,3,4,5,6 scoring vs. 1,2,4,8,16,32 next year.

Many Cinderellas made their presence known at this Big Dance.
Only one is staying for a Sweet 16 song: The 15-seed Princeton Tigers followed up their shocking 59-55 win over 2-seed Arizona with a 78-63 thumping of 7-seed Missouri.
  • It's Princeton's first Sweet 16 ever (the Sweet 16 started in 1975) and first Regional Semifinal since 1967.
  • Princeton is the fourth Ivy League team to make the Sweet 16.
  • Princeton is the fourth 15 seed to make the Sweet 16... but the third in the last three Tournaments (2021 Oral Roberts, 2022 Saint Peter's).
Princeton's win over Missouri was just the second NCAA Tournament win by an Ivy League team against an SEC team. The other one was all the way back in 1942, when Dartmouth beat Kentucky.

If your bracket is busted, that's understandable. With 1 seed Purdue losing to 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson -- the new biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history -- and 1 seed Kansas falling to 8 seed Arkansas, this is just the fifth time only two 1 seeds are in the Sweet 16.
Naturally, that makes the 1 seeds remaining -- Alabama and Houston -- the favorites. Check out the rest of the top five favorites to win it all from Caesars Sportsbook:
  • Alabama: +360
  • Houston: +375
  • UCLA: +700
  • Texas: +1000
  • UConn: +1000
That last team, though, was one of Sunday's biggest winners, writes our Kyle Boone. Furthermore, our Matt Norlander was in Albany to watch UConn dominate, and he says the Huskies are back among college basketball's elite.

Since my bracket is totally trash....I am changing my focus a bit.....I'm predicting that the "Canes" cheerleaders win the Wowser award....doing this with my phone and can't seem to get a pic to download....but they're my favorites!! WOW

I would have to think that the highest winning bracket score on most global boards would be really historically low this year right? By a lot?
The more I think about it, that's why I stuck with a liberal arts degree. I can see why it would not necessarily correlate but proving the math on it sounds enormously boring

I've been trying to describe this in a useful mathematical way for like a decade (well, short spurts every March, anyway). It's tricky, but fun to me at least. Since ESPN and other sites publish a "who picked whom" page showing the popularity of each team, and predictive rating systems like KenPom give a decent estimate of actual team strength, there should be an "optimal" bracket for any size of pool and scoring system.
