Trent played a decent chunk in the second half. Maybe adrenaline fueled that, but I doubt any injury he sustained would cause him to be held out of games for very long.

First time poster here:

FT woes are clearly mental at this point. These are D1 basketball players, they are all really good shooters :)

You could clearly tell that DMW was nervous as heck with those 2 FT at the end of the game. His motion was slow and deliberate and not the look of a confident shooter. As a former basketball player, addressing this mid-season is very tough. It's nearly impossible to simulate late-game situations in practice. At this point, we have to hope for the flip of a switch or FT will continue to hurt us down the stretch.

He only played 6 minutes in the second half and attempted one shot that was about 3 feet off target. Hope it is nothing serious, the season would take a big hit without him.

Perhaps, but I'm looking at last season's schedule, and I don’t see an equivalent to last night's game in conference play. Our only home losses were to Maryland (ranked #9 at the time) and MSU. Those were tough games against opponents that were just better than us. We also lost some tough away games, but won more of those than we lost. We hit a tough stretch where we lost against 4 difficult opponents in a row, but we made up for it by winning all the games we should have been favorites for, and some we were not favorites for (at #9 Penn St. - that was a fun game). We haven't hit our tough stretch yet, and we just lost a home game against a team we should really be beating, so we're running behind the pace last year's team set. Hopefully we can catch up. That tough stretch is coming soon:

1/23 - at MSU
1/29 - Iowa
2/2 - at Indiana
2/6 - Wisconsin
2/11 - at Michigan

Then we end the season at Wisconsin 2/27 and at OSU 3/6.

I'm not super confident we can come out with even 4 wins out of those 7 games, after yesterday's performance (even that would put us at 5 losses, if we win all remaining games)?

excellent point and angle on this.

If season gets cut short or tourney doesn’t go off as planned, what’s the chances Ayo and Kofi come back do we think?

Only my opinion, but A is a mental focus/confidence issue and B I agree with what Underwood had to say after last night's game he has to do a better job of getting his guys ready for games and late game situations. Talent is a must, but it can only get you so far especially in a league as tough as the B10. The whole team has to do better if they want to achieve their own stated goals of winning the conference and competing for a national championship. I know the fans sure want it, but the team and coaching staff have to as well.
How many years did we hear the same thing from Weber and Groce? "I have to do a better job of getting my guys ready for games and late game situations?" He's just now figuring that out in mid-January after 4 years? Either the talent isn't as good as I think it is, or Underwood will keep repeating Groce's mantra -- "well, tough night, I have to give a lot of credit to (insert team name here). I don't want to be negative, but this team should be playing much better than they are. I seriously do not think it is lack of talent.

Is there any updated news on how the conference is planning to reschedule these games?
I haven’t heard any updates but the schedule was built to allow for some make up dates. So without looking I’d guess there are some longer breaks between games that most teams have at the same time.

If you’re asking how they prioritize those games if there are more than can be made up, there’s been nothing said yet. Probably waiting to see how it affects Ohio State first. 😉

If we end the league season having played different numbers of games, we will just have to work around that. It won't prevent a B1G tournament, and it won't prevent B1G teams from dancing in Indy.

Might prevent a conference title from being awarded though.

Why? Just give it to the team with the best W-L percentage. Not perfect, but better than no title at all. Everything in the record books for this year is going to have an asterisk in any event.

Best W-L percentage wins, but imagine these facts. Iowa finishes 16-4, we finish 15-4 and Nebraska finishes 0-19. Our missing game is with Nebraska. One of our wins is against Iowa. Two of Iowa's wins are against Nebraska. Iowa gets the title, but the asterisk after their name should be bold and underlined.

Because you could have a situation where one team has more wins, but a different team has a higher win percentage. Both teams are going to have a credible claim to the title. How is the conference going to resolve that without upsetting one of those teams? The only way I could see that working out is if everyone agreed to a certain set of criteria before the season started (and they accounted for the possibility of imbalanced schedules).
