Illinois will be a comfortable home favorite of course. One thing to note, Nebraska is KenPom Adjusted Defensive Efficiency #47, and Illinois is KenPom Adjusted Offensive Efficiency #54, so points aren't going to be there freely, so have to avoid turnovers and hope that they don't randomly get hot from three despite being one of the worst three point shooting teams in the conference (Nebraska is #193 in KenPom Adjusted Offensive Efficiency so Illinois will have a big edge on that side of the court).

I absolutely expect them to kick Nebraska in the teeth if the defensive energy is like it was today.
I do agree, but with this team, I am tempering my expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if Cornhusker hangs in there and covers the 12 points they should be getting playing in Champaign: 78 - 71.

I've lived in Nebraska since 1985 and still refuse to wear red.
I have some 'camouflage' NU shirts but bravo, good sir! My significant others family roots for Illinois on game days because they love me, so I gotta even things out once in awhile. Plus, literally anyone that hates Iowa as much they do gets some slack from me.

Nebraska had a good December, but except for a win vs. Ohio St., they've been mediocre to terrible since. Looking at Torvik's stats limited to games beginning January 1, Nebraska ranks 232/193 (O/D) while Illinois ranks 76/20. Nebraska's biggest strength during this time frame has been FT rate defense, where they rank 100th, while their 2P% defense has been bad (rank 324) and their offensive rebounding has been horrible (rank 352).

Well, we'll be in 3rd place entering the NEB game. A pretty good turnaround following our 0-3 start. And NW is not going to sustain their stranglehold on 2nd place.

We've been red hot since I quit making projections on here. No sense in changing that.
