Umm...we stopped OSU 3 or 4 times today. OSU. With maybe the best player in CFB going nuclear on us.

We certainly have not looked great, but I am not sure we are "really bad". Duke might compete for the ACC Champ and Ohio State is a contender for NCAA champ. We are a team with a very good offense that should keep us in many games.
A really bad team does not put up close to 500 yards @ Ohio State.
This game will say a lot about the Illini squad. Really need a win here.

Outside of kneeled out clock, we stopped Ohio State twice while giving up 6 touchdowns (five of them 70+ yard drives).
Don't be fooled by the ND beatdown right now. Purdue's offense has been insanely explosive this year, so far. Their main problem is their defense. Sound familiar?

I'm wondering who will be back from the IL next weekend, especially the O line. Hopefully Smith isn't out long. Is Brown fully back? Will we see Platt? We cannot lose to Purdue.
Also, do we know who was injured at the timeout in the second half? The crack announcing team didn't think it was important enough to mention.

Also...Coach B said we had only 9 players on the field a couple times? So....I'm going to stay positive about today. The refs literally gave them one drive with the QB scramble. Lunney gave them the ball with a couple of really questionable 3rd and 4th down calls too.

Not gonna read the post game thread (nor do I ever step foot in the game threads) because they are often toxic on IL.
But I’ll say that I wasn’t overly disappointed with tOSU. And if we can see continued improvement and the havoc we were promised on D, this offense can get us to at least 3-3 before the bye with a chance at 4-2.
Just gotta find a few wins after that to go 6-6 or 7-5. (Which was my expectation and hope)
Let’s get back in the win column at home against Purdont.
