Lovie came out of nowhere. Obviously it didn't work, but it sent a message.

Getting Underwood after one year at another P5 is incredible. I'm sure it's happened, but not very often.

I'm not sure how many other ADs even go after Bielema. It's turned out brilliant.

I still don't fully understand what happened there. I recall being in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl, and ducking into an internet cafe (remember those)....after checking hotmail, I looked at this board and it was news of big recruits coming to Illinois based on the '01 success.

It was the easiest decision of my life to take Friday off going into Labor Day weekend and easily convinced enough others to do the same to fill out our group. I was hoping the excitement for the new board would convince more people to do the same.

Either way, ITS GAMEDAY! ILL!

We have too much invested into the program and too good of a coach to be happy with going 7-6 each year. That’s 4-5 in the Big Ten and a bowl loss in a bad bowl game. That’s not good enough.
