There is a video circulating (not going to share it here), and its kinda hard to tell what happened - but the dude that punched him does not appear to be the guy he was arguing with. He just ran up and blindsided him. Granted I don't know the full story, but at least man up face to face if you are gonna punch a guy.

On the one hand, assault is wrong. On the other hand, it sounds like Bohannon was running his mouth and throwing ice at someone like a bozo. I can only imagine he was also saying something stupid like, "what are you going to do, punch me?" right before he got punched.

So it's a little hard for me to know how to feel about this.

It sure is great seeing how fran is such a great leader of young men , instilling in them that trait that all parents want their children to learn when they leave home and go to college....You can see it in fran's boys when they are on the court....../s

I was on the Jordan Bohannon end of a similar altercation in college...talked too much s*** and couldn't back it up. Hopefully he's all good and can use it as a well-deserved learning opportunity

Talked to my Hawkeye buddies today and none of them feel sorry for Bohannon.

Which made me think... I just can’t imagine if our fanbase had a 4+ year player that we disrespected more than Iowa (partially) does with him. Crazy stuff.

Yea, he was blindsided. You can hardly see him in the video, but it does appear that he is arguing with someone, and then a guy in a hoodie runs in and blasts him.
