with all the better metrics that are out there to evaluate perfomance of a coach, leave it to Iowa to use
a. wins &
b. points per game,

as if its year 1954 and thats all they have access to
It's almost as if they're trying to look like they're doing something, without actually doing anything.

Aww, that’s very perceptive.

They’re demanding results at least equivalent to what he’s delivered so far, 7 wins and 25 points per game, his 6 year average. A further decline from their 115th ranked offense will NOT be tolerated! Of course a further decline is also impossible.

I won't root for Iowa.....but I would love to see exactly 7 wins and something like 25.1 ppg with a defensive TD at the end of the season to take it over the 25 point average :ROFLMAO:

Not a gimmie schedule but fairly easy one without Ohio St and Michigan to reach those goals. If they have a healthy McNamara the whole season I would be shocked if they didn't reach that.
Let's hope that in order to meet both objectives they have to run the score up in their last game (Nov. 24th) at Nebraska, after being shut out the previous week (Nov. 19th) at home by the Illini.

That D is still going to be real tough. Picked him up from transfer portal yesterday. All-ACC Conference 3rd team in 2020 and 2nd team in 2021 and 2022 🤮

Iowa has never heard of "just win baby"?

Ferentz better hope Utah St and Western Michigan are down and they can score 45-50 in each or he's done!
You'll see starting offensive players on the field late in both of these with 10-14 point leads. It better not cost
them early season injuries. This is a disaster of a deal. laughing all fall.

I have to respect my Iowa friends, as they really do have "Hawkeye" ingrained in their DNA ... because let me tell you, they are NOT happy with this whole situation, and yet they'll be showing up to tailgate or hit up their local Iowa bar wherever they live for the first game, no matter what - even if just to party.

I cannot wait for the day that Illinois has finally built up that type of "football culture."
