Is that you, Jalen? In all seriousness though, I think most of the people on here agree that JCL is a stand-out individual and we are not attacking him personally. If I look at his play last year, I have trouble seeing much progress. His stats were worse than his freshman year and his defensive skills clearly were lacking. Was the rest of the team perfect? Absolutely not. Groce's teams consistently underplayed compared to their rankings. If the rumors are true, and Underwood told him that he wasn't going to see much playing time, JCL had two options. Transfer, or work hard and develop the skills that BU wanted to see in him. JCL chose to transfer. There's no shame in that. Underwood's coaching style is not everyone's cup of tea. He makes Frank Martin look like a teddy bear. Am I sad to see JCL leave? Of course I am, but let's be honest here: he's not a transcendent talent that can carry a program to a Final Four. I'd say that about any of the players we lost, or anyone else on the team last year. If he thinks he's an NBA caliber player, good luck to him. He'll need to work hard the next couple of years. He's got the 3 point shot, now he just needs to work on defense, ball-handling, and scoring in other ways. As a piece of advice: you're never going to change the opinions of random people on an internet forum. Don't bother trying, and you'll be a lot happier.
