The two are not mutually exclusive. I honestly have no idea what happened behind the scenes between BU and JCL, so I won't comment on JCL's work ethic. I truly don't know and didn't mean to imply that he didn't want to work and get better. Just meant that he may not have wanted to work to get better AND play for BU at the same time. I have seen BU coach up close while he was at SC with Frank Martin. The man is abrasive and demands max effort from his players during practices and games. If It tells you anything: if Martin and BU were a good cop, bad cop routine, Martin was the good cop. If you know anything about Martin, that says a lot. BU demands that you work hard. If a player's highest priority isn't basketball, they may not succeed under BU. From what I've read about JCL, basketball may not be his highest priority. That's not a knock on him. If I'm JCL, why would I play two more years under a guy like BU if I know that professional basketball isn't my future? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
