Weiskamp never really looks like he's on the same wavelength as the rest of this team. It's like a random guy they picked up at the gym. It was really noticeable last year but picking up that same vibe today.

Illini are a solid team, but may be only the 5th best team in the Big 10. Loaded. Rutgers going to be a consistent force going forward.

5th?? no way
Well fwiw, 3 are ranked ahead by coaches, and Rutgers beat Illinois. So that's 4. Iowa and Rutgers played high level bb today, I need to see that kind of game from Ill to agree that they are better than either. The Indiana game was close until the end, Northwestern will be a handful. We have had a couple of games vs top tier teams-Baylor, Rutgers, and Missouri-and got handled pretty well, and beat Ohio by 2 in a game that could have been lost. So, you can talk a good game, but you have to prove it....

I don't know that losing by 3 qualifies as being "handled pretty well". An L is an L but c'mon.

Interesting but its like you ignore the other "faults" of the other teams. How is rutgers losing by 2 to iowa high level ball but us losing to rutgers by 3 getting handled? LOL

Rutgers beat us by 3 at the rac? Mizzou by 2 at their place? thats getting handled?

Well if so, then rutgers got really handled losing by 12 to ohio state, and it was close with purdue the whole way just like our indiana game was close..

and iowa got handled big time by minnnesota (and i dont think they got handled but if losing by 2/3 points is handled then i guess so is 7) who we beat by 20+ and beaten by a team comparable to baylor (gonzaga). What makes them an easy cut above then?

we've played by far the most difficult schedule between these teams.
Kenpom SOS for us is 11
77 for iowa
31 for rutgers

rutgers has only played 2 games away from teh rac and 1 against currently ranked teams
iowa 4, 2 against ranked teams
us 5, with 4 of those against currently ranked teams

I think its too early to tell who is the best, i could see an argument for all 3 as all 3 at times have looked pretty good, and all have looked less than stellar at times.

Too early to tell best team by tournament time. UI with two frosh will improve but UM with frosh big undefeated and he will only get better. MSU with three losses but with history of being there by tournament time. Garza led Iowa is not going away. Whisky a winner with old team but maybe lower ceiling. Tough call for conference winner.
