Does Michigan leapfrog us in the rankings tomorrow?
Very impressed with depth. They are having a great game against a good team. Going to need Jacob and Cole ready to play in this game. Belo might drive them nutso however.

Yeah, expecting Michigan to leapfrog us in the rankings (Top 10), but we will still go up as well (10-12).

I'm thinking no since Northwestern is ranked below us both. Probably doesn't matter much either way right now. Michigan looks to be top tier. We won't know how good anybody is until later in the year and we get more wins and loses to compare.

Very few teams could beat Michigan they way they were shooting and defending tonight. Nearly 50% from three on 25 attempts. +13 on the boards. 22 assists on 32 FGs. But they won't shoot that way every night, and especially not against a better defensive team. When our offense is clicking, we can dominate Northwestern in the same way.

Impressive performances by Michigan and Minnesota tonight, climbing their way up the efficiency charts:

Wisconsin-PSU postponed, so they're going to be short a game for a while until they have the chance to make it up, but the efficiency standings are getting closer to mirroring the actual standings, with OSU getting a boost from blowing out Nebraska.

Unfortunately, my feeling right now is that this team will lose 3 or 4 games solely at the free throw line. They may have an outlier or two where they go over 80 % as a team, but games under 60% in the B1G are just sitting there to be lost. Hacking Kofi is a turnover and a good strategy. Puts a lot of pressure on a team that likes to run to keep turnovers low and avoid droughts, also a past nemesis for this crew. One would think that these guys would become comfortable and efficient playing fast after year 3 with BU, but there are still too many momentum killing lulls that are baffling. Hoping we can slowly see them diminish.

On a good note, it has been nice to see good shooting from the floor and arc, along with Curbelo lighting the team on fire with his aggressive play. Hope he becomes a perfectionist with hard work on shooting and turnovers....which have been improving lately. Also like recent energy brought by Grandison and Hawkins....similar to good Kipper....need that energy whenever their number gets called.

Statement about what?
Maryland beat Wisconsin.

I'm trying not to understate that win, but have you looked at Michigan's schedule? Before today, a person seeing their undefeated record could satisfy any curiosity with a moment's glance.

Yup, very soft. But if there was any doubt they could play, that game should answer it. Also, they're up to #10 in Kenpom, which make adjustment for strength of opponent.

Tip of the hat to Central for the Michigan call.

Michigan certainly looked great in that game but will know more after we play NW. Dickinson is opening it up for the shooters. The question is will he still look as great against Garza, Kofi, Williams, etc. Need it to play out but at this point look a lot better than MSU, OSU, and others. Look like they belong with the top tier of Iowa, Whisky, UI, and Rutgers. Actually standing now look realistic for year end.

Wagner will give us issues. I absolutely love what DW is doing this year. To go from where he was as a frosh (injury in HS/lost athleticism) to now. Being a marksman.

He is a very good defender. This will be a huge size mismatch though. Hopefully we can overcome with our strengths.
Like to see Cole vs Wagner, same size, same basic skills but much different experience. Know Cole isn’t a comparable player at this time but wondering if he is at all competitive. Really believe he is important piece to success this year.
