He appeared in games this semester for UK.
If he enrolled at UofI before Feb 5, wouldn't it have to be on his own dime? I don't think we have any scholarships to give for this semester, and I doubt that even kicking someone off the team today would make a current scholarship available. We can kick anyone off the team, but I don't think we can take away a scholly and give it to someone else under any circumstances.
I wonder whether he was promised more tic in those two games that didn't happen or he earned the limitation thereafter with his play in those games. Doesn't seem to have been a sensible decision if he was at that point. But may well send him to a school that is not his preference for a transfer, one that has a schollie to give for this semester. I guess he could announce his transfer, continue with classes at Kentucky (presumably they would have to agree) and transfer after the semester. But that not the way his announcement sounded. Thanks for clarification. This is one of those things that baffles me if he does transfer. How short sighted is that? Supposedly he knew he was unhappy, and then to play 4 minutes across 2 games one week into the semester, and then leave? How could he not have given himself a deadline prior to start of 2nd semester to make this decision? If even, just to leave his options open.
I'm in no position to 2nd guess the kid, but it seems like these things happen too often with transfer logistics, and the only one to lose out are the kids.
We were in his top 2-3 (easily?), but when UK offered, it was all over.
We look like a significantly better alternative now than we did when he had us #2 in his original decision. A pair of impressive guards lined up to play with, proven that BU's system works, first in the B1G, etc.
Drew Timme Terrance Shannon Landers Nolley just to name a fewWas thinking just the other day about some of the highly regarded recruits we were in on that Illinois missed, and how disappointed (including myself) we were in whiffing on these guys ....Whitney...Okoro.....Liddell.....Smith (didn't miss out...but kind of did).....of all the names I've mentioned probably Liddell and Smith are the only ones that have played meaningful minutes....and neither have played to the level of Kofi, GB, or Ayo.....24 months ago if we'd landed these 4 kids...most of us would have been beyond ecstatic .....probably talking multiple B10 championships maybe even final four....these 4 may still become good collegiate players, but I'm guessing no one thought they would be this irrelevant at this point......funny how things turn out
What does that mean? Dotted line...?
My prediction is he's going pro... Australian league?
Seems to be working well for LaMelo Ball.
How is that any more pressure than playing at Kentucky? Some kids don't want the pressure of playing in their own state...
If you are referring to what I think you are, those are, I believe, eyeballs. But I don’t know what they mean. I asked about Hawkins response, what it meant but my post and the one answering me have mysteriously “disappeared” for some reason. And I figure having said that this one, too, will “disappear”.What does that mean? Dotted line...?

I DMed him and he said that it means he’s watching with extra interest, thus the two sets of eyeballs. Just kidding, I didn’t DM him. That’s creepy, or so I’m told. But that would be my guess. What does that mean? Dotted line...?
I’ll

They don’t even have Ayo being drafted in the 2020 draft as of right now. Listed as on the bubble along with 25 othersShannon on nba radar at 17 for 2021 here

Can KW transfer to a high level Division 2 team and play right away? If he dominates there, the scouts will surely find him. Or is Division 2 basketball just too small?
He might as well play somewhere professionally and make some cash. Competition would be much better and he would be able to play immediately.
Haha! Immediate thought: Kind of creepy. Kept reading on and thought, wow, he actually answered you and it was such an obvious answer. Then, the punchline. Good one!I’ll

And not have to focus on academics
(so you're saying North Carolina)
I would think Chicago coaches may get disenchanted with UK eventually....
