🤬 Seems like every year we have to have some nonsense happen.

UGH. Not having Kylan for Purdue, Nebraska and MSU is straight-up brutal, and there is no way around that fact. Even if the Committee "considers" that we had to play a while without one of our best players (as they claim they do), those are three massive opportunities at signature wins, and I think we all felt at least semi-hopeful that we could steal one of them. Now? Any of the three will be a tall order.

With that said, you never know ... we need some guys to get incredibly motivated to step up in Boswell's absence.

Soooo, what position does Toni Bilic play?

For me, it's his defense and ability to handle any ball pressure. His drive to the hole. Petro will turn the ball over more.

Although KW is reliable, the little guy on NW caused a few problems for him.

Once KB became brought the ball up, the little guy was a non-factor.

I do wonder if the timetable would be a little longer for a ball handler.
Same thought here. Ball handling AND shooting are greatly affected. Not likely to see any good play from him for a long time....IMHO. Then there are two examples of guys stepping up that have already been pointed out. It will be very telling as to how Lee and Petrovic respond. Lee has long term defensive upside and Petro has above avg. offensive potential. But Lee has much to learn about defending at the level of BAM and Petro evidently never will at his age.

Color me anything other than optimistic...but only time will tell.

I truly admire Boswell and his commitment to team play which requires looking to score, recognizing others and how they can contribute, and working his tail off on defense....really feel sorry for his demise and hope for a speedy and complete recovery sooner than expected.

Unfortunately, even when he starts playing again, I doubt he will be close to 100%..That will take a year or 2 of consistent, on the court play..

I mean, I obviously don't know EXACTLY how he broke his hand, but I've always worried about guys going too hard in practice for this exact reason. I get it, you wanna play hard no matter if it's the national championship game or a typical practice and that's a great mindset to have...for the most part. Only reason I say that last part of that sentence is because of...well, this. 🫤

How many practice/nongame injuries can 1 team have... just unF&^*ing real. Get better soon KB we need your leadership

Last time we lost our captain mid season for a period of time we ended up in the elite eight. Hopeful others step up and develop then we get him back and make a deep run. Little worried it is an injury to his shooting hand, also don't see how this has anything to do with what we are doing in practice

All year, with each game where we’ve had a lead and the opposing team has cut into it, I’ve always had that calming feeling that this team was composed enough to adjust and retake control. In past seasons I’ve had that “uh oh, here we go again” feeling but not this year. This team feels much more mature and experienced.

Likewise, I have that calming feeling that this team can rise above the Boswell injury. I fully expect Petro to seize the moment, Lee to step up as well, and the rest of the team to pick up the slack defensively. Can’t explain it… it just feels that way. Hope I’m right.

i have felt the same way. the issue for me is that i think KB was/is a big reason why, and now he’s out
