I was vacationing in Fla, and was so disappointed and mad I stormed out, and stood on the patio swearing. When I came back in, I intended to go to bed, only to have my wife tell me, you better come back in here and sit down.

That’s me with my arms raised under the flash/spotlight. It was the greatest game in the history of the world-one of the best memories of my life…

Had one of the officers who was part of traffic control for the event tell me there was a line of vehicles leaving after the under-4-minute timeout. The drivers apparently had the radio on because he said several of them then wanted to do a U-turn and re-enter a parking facility, which he said was impossible because of the flow of traffic. I would have hated to be one of those who left early...though I came perilously close to doing just that about the 7th inning of Game 6 of the Cardinals-Rangers World Series with the Cardinals down a few runs. My best friend talked me out of leaving. That was of course the Freese game. Would never have lived that down.

I remember standing completely still in the kitchen of my first half not wanting to move to jinx anything. I stayed motionless for the entire last part of the game and then tackled my now ex-wife in jubilation when the final horn sounded.

My sister and I were in the very last row of the 2nd level directly behind our basket. I remember leaning against the back wall as we were falling further and further behind and just feeling like my soul was exiting my body 🫥

I've never been in a louder environment in my life when the comeback started and especially after Luther's steal in overtime. It was like the crowd willed the team to win through sheer volume

I left a White Sox game when they were down 7 heading into the 8th inning. Iguchi hit a grand slam in the 8th and a three run homer in the 9th. They ended up losing in extra innings and it was just a regular season game but that is the game that made me NEVER leave early again.

My dad was kind enough to accompany my grandparents (God rest their souls) to a White Sox game during the watch for Thome's 500th homer. My grandfather decided he wanted to leave early. They heard the roar of the crowd as Jim hit 500 from the parking lot.

After hearing that, I've sworn that I'll never leave a game early again.

Years ago on the Cheap Seats TV show on ESPN with the Sklar brothers, they did a bit revolving around the Gibson home run in the '88 World Series and the car you see outside of Dodger Stadium braking as Gibson's home run goes out.

Right about now twenty years ago it wasn't looking good. However, we managed to pull off the Greatest
comeback in Illini history. Sure glad I bought that $167 seat at Allstate Arena. ILL 90 ARIZ 89.
That's me right after the game.

This is a core memory for me. I remember being in NYC at a no-name bar watching this game. The bar was nearly empty and I was the only real fan cheering for the team...but because of my cheering, the other side of the bar began to support Arizona. Ultimately when we tied and won, I ran a fool around the pool tables and that will forever be etched in my memory!
