I really think that Reggie love will come in and compete for carries right away.
Hope so... Epstein has not been able to hold up...Bonner OK...other guys have not shown enough...Dre would have been great...he was our best back this year. Guess Chase Brown is a factor also

Lookout at the RB situation with Epstein should b the feature back with Bonner. What experience beyond would be Brown. Let’s hope Norwood and Sims come through.

Yeah and I know norwood has big time possibility but I don’t see that yet. Sims and Bonner are just okay. Epstein, chase brown and Reggie are who I would like to see. Cumby interest me.

Epstein is VVG, but VV brittle. Chase Brown and Reggie Love, your table is ready.

I hope we can keep our luck going with the portal. I would like the two Stanford defensive linemen, and one from Oklahoma, I’d like the Michigan players, and the a&m dB.
Is 6 too many?

The number depends on who’s opinion you ask I guess but regardless, I’d sure hope we aim a heckuva lot higher than Brian Johnson.

He’s not very good and he can’t play safety.

I hope we can get enough production out of the current roster so we can redshirt Reggie. Very happy we are able to redshirt so many of the talented players we brought in with this last class. I hope we can keep that rolling

If Mike Epstein can stay healthy, that is probably a good possibility. Hoping for the best for Mike.

I would LOVE Epstein to have an injury free season.

I saw this earlier and it's pretty concerning. There can be a lot of degrees between "pressure by coaches" and "Lovie actively meddled" though.

As @BobZuppke suggests, Okpala should be shifted to OT. He has a much better chance to play on Sundays there (and that will help our team tremendously too). @BobZuppke is a great twitter follow, BTW.

No just No. Also thinks we should have signed St. John even after him spurring us.

We have a looming OL problem, IMO. What do you propose?

We have no idea if our problem is looming or not, as projecting OL with multiple years of development is essentially little more than a game of darts (Doug Kramer, for instance, was a scrawny nobody when we got him) but in general, I would suggest we leave the panicking to lesser programs and keep ourselves down a road of logic and reason.

I think this person needs to take a deep breath, stop reading 247 and enjoy the rest of today. Or maybe watch some Okpala tape. That’s usually my therapy.

Okapala is really raw. And typically you take raw big men and put them on the DL and let them take up space. Also how do we know we have a O-Line problem? Lowe and Palcho were both .83 rated prospects. Tyler, Grifiin, Kirts and Sparks are all higher rated.

I'm assuming this is what you are thinking.

We are good in 2020.
2021 we will be a bit light on upperclassmen OL, but we still have solid seniors that are plug and play. We may need to supplement with one more transfer/JUCO.
2022 Assuming who we have pans out, we should be competitive, but not great and we can add another transfer to shore up the line.
2023 we are back to normal.

Personally I don't see any reason why we can't hold serve with our current level of play, if not better. As already posted, Palcho and Vederian were both .83 recruits, now look at them. Why can't Verdis Brown, Kevian Myers and Jordan Slaughter as redshirt seniors replace them, especially under Lou's program?
