I agree with this sentiment. At the same time, I don't think there's a lot of grand platforms like the NCAA through which you can showcase yourself and improve your stock. If Kofi were to return, dominate, and improve, he could make a case for first-rounder next year.

I don't know what his motivators and goals are though. We'll see what his camp and the scouts think soon enough
It’s a great platform, no doubt. I’m certainly not saying that another year playing at the NCAA level won’t help him. It almost certainly would. Frankly, playing basketball anywhere is going to help him develop. He is a monster talent, but extremely raw for his age. My best guess is that he goes early in the 2nd round & plays a year in the G league before earning his spot in the Association.
I don’t think anyone that posts on this board is blind to his immense potential. I also don’t think NBA scouts are. He has work to do, but whether he does it in Champaign IL or somewhere else hardly matters. If he put in the work, he will get where he wanted to go.
