We have been in that situation twice this season and both times we got a nearly 30 foot heave from within a crowd. The best player should touch the ball but if the defense swarms, someone else should take the shot. You rely on your best player to make a winning play, not necessarily the winning shot. That said, if Larry Bird was on our team, I might feel differently... Ayo has a great chance at a career in the NBA. Larry Bird is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. What makes good sense for Larry Bird doesn't necessarily make good sense for everyone else.

We have to play better situational basketball in close games.
You are also ignoring the fact that Ayo did a great job of scoring in the 2nd half!

In our 4 losses, a player has chucked up 20+ shots. We have lost every game he has done this. When the ball is shared and it's team ball we look like a freight train. This is not the NBA and we cannot have 20+ shots coming from 1 player. Don't even get me started on the free throws.
Yea but what is the cause and what is the effect? I don't think its that simple.

Kofi didn't get a shot up in the last 8 minutes, and the team didn't get a bucket in the last four. I don't think it's crazy to suggest that a different approach may have been warranted.
I'm certainly not laying the blame at Ayo's feet. I believe his teammates tend to turn into spectators on the offensive end a little too often down the stretch in close games. (Andre being the exception in this one.)
I wish we would have played Wednesday, so we could talk about something else... Bring on OSU!
