After watching all the interviews, I too am excited about each of these coaches. Chin really seemed confident in his abilities and seems that he KNOWS he is going to help in Chicago, but I don't think that is all he has to offer. He truly seems like he is a coach that can help at this level. It was interesting that he said he used Underwood's Defense at UIC. So now we can rest easy; we have a coach that doesn't have to learn EVERYTHING new! We have our defensive coordinator! Coach O seems like a guy that just knows he is the MAN when it comes to recruiting. He can use charm and give people the answers they need to hear. One of the big things I took away from Coach Underwood's interview was that he is a big "feel guy." This is a complete 180 from Coach Groce. Groce was all about stats and analytics. So if a player is supposed to come out at the 16:00 mark, then he comes out! I'm guessing Coach will have a sub pattern (like all coaches do) but if a player is hot and has 12 points in the first 4 minutes, he isn't coming out.
