On a Saturday WDWS Sports show, a DIA representative said the men's basketball reseating would start May 28th. He said there were about 2,400 season ticket holder accounts.

They have said they are expecting not to have the Mobile Pass as an option this year which makes me sad. That was a great way to get in to every game for half the cost of even the lowest level regular season tickets.

It is absolutely a great value, and I toyed with that option when the ticket prices went up a couple years back. I ultimately chose higher priced seats, but I also understand why they would transition away from the mobile pass (as long as the demand for the product remains high). I would be somewhat sad to see it go (as it is an affordable option for avid fans that don't have a lot of discretionary money to spare; i.e., the young family), but it also is a testament to the direction of the program.

Got my ranking out of 3010 with one last opportunity to move up via email this evening
Sounds like one last money grab, but I appreciate the FOMO of it. We'll see where people fall. I'm hoping to move up slightly from where my current seats are from last year.

Not getting tickets for 1st time in 8 years. It's a money grab and not in best interest of the loyal fans. They are trying to sell people on it being cheaper and better, but nothing was wrong with the way it has been done. The average ticket prices are up 30% and more. I'll miss it, but it is what it is.

This new system is a joke. Sounds like no mobile pass at all and the season tickets require the IFund donation. Pricing people out is not a great way to please fans. The box office rep I spoke to recently acted like I was crazy for asking if a $500 donation was required to even have a chance at tickets.

You do not have to be an IFund member to get season tickets. But you do have to have had tickets last year.

I am a decent size IFund member and was told they are not allowing new season ticket holders as they are full.

Correct. There are a number of seats where there is no prioroty seat requirement (i.e., IFund donation). And those that do, the money goes to your IFund status for parking perks, etc. It really is not that much of a money grab that some are complaining about.

I understand why there are complaints about eliminating the mobile pass option, but when you have high demand for the product, that should be the first thing to go, IMO.

If I can get the same seats I had last year, my cost will be 2/3 of what I paid last year. This includes this year's ticket price increase and a large decrease in my IFUND requirement.

That is not what I was told by the box office. All I know is that prices have skyrocketed and without the mobile pass, myself and many others are priced out of any season ticket options. I understand the thinking, but requiring a donation is not right. If i make a $500 donation, I want to know exactly where that money is going and that information will not be provided to me.

You were given inaccurate information then. Not sure exactly where you are getting the information of skyrocketing prices (unless you are talking about losing the mobile pass option). The finalized pricing for next season has not been announced, but I doubt it will change much from what is seen from last season. There is a host of information provided at the following link ->https://jointheifund.com/illini-era/

A snippet of information pulled from the link that answers pricing and required donations:

Paying for a $9M team payroll and expensive coaching staff. Hopefully it is also an elite 8 team!

I think Brad handles the $NIL and transfer portal better than most B10 coaches. Many are retiring. left or getting fired - Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Iowa, USC, Ohio State, Penn State.

Since both came into being we have made NCAA every year and elite 8 2 years ago.

Nice not have to deal with under the table payments and AAU. Its all out in the open in it glorious ugliness.

Plus the IFUND contribution. That is the issue here. I fully expect prices to go up once again and I was told by the rep that for 200 level sideline, it would be the ticket price PLUS anywhere from $300 to $800 for the IFUND, and yes it was required.

Thanks for putting together. It is worth noting that the ticket prices from 23-24 season (Elite 8 team) to 24-25 season remained unchanged (at least they did not for my baseline tickets). Do you have any insights on how the priority seating cost (required IFund donation) changed for lower level seating? If that declined, then the percentage increase in ticket costs is actually lower than the 20% price increase shown here.

There are sections that require a donation, but also sections that do not. It sounds like you want to sit in a section that requires it. So the rep is right for that section, but should have explained it better for other options.

It really depends on the section and the row you select for 200 level sideline. You can still get higher rows on the sideline for $75/seat priority seating requirement. I think you also have to price in that you get free parking with donations of $250 or more (and if you have football season tickets as well, it pays for itself--you get free parking for both football and basketball).

If the priority seating requirement is too cost prohibitive, you can still move to lower row seats in the baseline that do not have required donations (you can see in the seating chart I posted earlier in the thread).

This is the first year with strict per-seat requirements. Previous years only strict requirement was how many seats you could get at certain donation levels.

Practically speaking I expect the price increase to be significant for any long-time seat holders in the 100 level or lower. 4 seats would put you near the Loyalty Circle level

So if you made a $500 donation to the Ifund with your season tickets, do you get a parking pass to go with your seats?

Parking was already part of the price for season tickets to begin with. My biggest issue is that nobody seems to know how for sure any of this works, even the box office. When i asked questions, with several different reps, I either got an unsure answer or was treated like I was stupid for not understanding. And again, where does the donation go? Maybe this makes me sound bad, but I would only make a donation based on knowing that it goes to the sports I watch and care about. They can't and won't tell me that information,

Yes. Pulled from the link I attached earlier. The IFund Priority Seating Contribution counts toward the donation.

I don't think this guarentees you get to pick your lot though, it's just that you'll get a spot in one of the lots based on priority. For example, NW lot tends to be the most limited for general parking because that is where all the reserved spots are. They also have non-reserved spots in there, but they'll do parking based on priority and the request you put in during the parking distribution. You're almost guarenteed to be in the E14 lot (the large lot across the street) if you donate $500, but getting into the NE, SW or SE is still based on priority points
