I've been saying Tre White was a bigger loss for this team than Morez all year... I'd love Tre White here.

But i don't know the innerworkings on this stuff. Tre said after the UK game he'd be back, he didnt come back (dramatic voice) - he's also been at like 7 schools in 7 years, so whatevs. As for Morez, DB has said a few times we prioritized Tomi over him, which I still don't get on the surface, because Morez wanted to be a forward, I don't see how the two are related. But DB has good info and im not saying i don't believe it, so I'm just curious how exactly that worked.

Tre is the one we really miss IMO. Like really, really miss.
Tre doesn’t help us downlow where we got
absolutely destroyed. Morez was a MUCH bigger loss. Not even close.

Last year's Tre White is not better than Stojakovic. I'm sorry, that's just a laugher. Maybe this year's Tre White compares better. I think you are just basing it off of recency bias rather than the entire year's worth of work

Also, I'd take DGL back in a heartbeat over Petrovic. What a sniper he has become. I think we downgraded at the backup guard position
DGL wasn’t coming back as a back up. Only so much you can do to keep guys.

Not sure how people thought Illinois was actually going to win this game, after the UCLA debacle.

To be honest, I thought Michigan would win by 6-8 points.

My expectation is that this team is not a Final Four team--not falling for the same damn trap as last year. And I hope the experts stop saying this is a F4 team.

I still feel the UCLA debacle has affected them to a degree. They should win their next two games, so hopefully, this effect will be minimized.

They should still destroy their first round opponent as a #3 seed right now. R2? They should still win, but NOT cover the spread.

At this point in the S16 (unless their defense gets better), they will lose this game, which still would be a disappointment to me.

I know BU has had some nice wins, but he cannot beat the truly Elite teams, as evident with just two horrendous losses to UConn and Michigan (at home).

What are the excuses? All other losses there were excuses!!! Refs, players out, player sick, etc

another game and another player (2) having a field day, our bigs are weak on defense

At least it wasn’t t an ot loss

Just marvel and enjoy the Michigan front line. That's a really really special group.

Yaxel is the most underrated player in college basketball IMO because he's not gonna put up the eye popping stats on this incredibly loaded team. He's a beast on both ends. He'd be my choice for B1G POY. And he'll likely get drafted by a winning NBA organization like OKC

Hard to get dawgs when you burn some critical inner city connections and focus on Europe. Now we’re having to go to Europe. Those players have a reputation for being soft, which isn’t totally fair but AS and TI fit that mold, and a lot of dawgs don’t want to play with them. Morez even called it out.

That’s why I said Tre White type … This year … Rebounds the piss out of it … Shoots it at a good clip … Athletic … Can guard …

Any veteran guard is what we needed … And honestly I’m not sure it’s DGL … I’m thinking more Feliz type … In your face on defense , every loose ball is his, great teammate … Can hit shots … Tough as 💩
Yea, I do miss the Feliz type. What a shame that 19-20 team never had the chance to reach its full potential b/c they had a chance to go far in that tournament. I think Tre White has been the #2 or #3/#4 option all season depending on when Peterson is actually playing with Melvin Council being the lead guard when DP is out with his ailments and Bidunga taking a big step from last season. On this team, Tre White is probably the 5th option behind Wagler, Boswell, Mirkovic, and Tomi. Whereas Stojakovic sometimes is the #2 option depending on matchups/games/injury situations. I think the last couple games are showing that he is having a hard time finding his place after his minor injury setback. I personally think there's a ceiling cap with Jake Davis while there isn't one with Stojakovic. They need to get him back in the starting lineup ASAP b/c the Jake Davis experiment is no longer working well

Agreed on all points. For some reason, Brad did not think Tre was a fit. He sat him for a few games with no minutes last year for some reason. Seems to happen to one player or another every year with BU.

Tre has been at a new school every year since his freshman year of high school (quite literally 8 schools in 8 years). He was put in the doghouse at times last year because, candidly, he wasn't very good - no need to overthink why on the low minutes sometimes.

Tre being a flight risk is on Brad taking that risk just as much if he decided he wasn't a fit on the roster, to be clear. But i thought it was apparent Illinois wanted him back.

Yaxel is everything we thought was when we were salivating over the thought of him coming here. If Mara has had a better game, I missed it… Morez is exactly who I always thought he was… which is unfortunate considering the circumstances.
Michigan is a veteran team that is extremely well built.
You’d better hit your shots, or get a few bounces/ calls go your way. We didn’t.

Word on the street is he challenged Brad in a practice and that was his punishment.

The classic "I told you so" comment.
I guess Midwestercowboy was onto something. And I get it, it's a forum: we all have our opinions. When I am wrong, I have no problem admitting it. I wonder if we'll see it tonight.

To me, it was an obvious Michigan win after what happened in LA.

Trent & DMFW ain’t walking through that door unfortunately …
Every time we lose these 2 come up as if they didn’t get whooped ever.

Didn’t a team with both of them get whooped by Loyola when it mattered most?

Comments like this aren’t helpful. Only thing we should be worried about is this team and how they get ready for March.

I am sick and tired of the analytics BS …

THE only way we get looks inside is back downs … Booty ball … Domask style …

We have ZERO set plays to get a dang look inside !!!!!!!!!

What are the out of bounds/inbounds plays ???

DO WE RUN ANY PLAYS ?!?!??!??!

Infuriating !!!!! 50 f’ing coaches on this staff … We are paying them MILLIONS … And not a gosh dang ONE of them can draw up an f’ing play ???

UNACCEPTABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO … Two simple tweaks get us there …

Tre White type over AS …

Proven veteran guard over Petro …
So you're saying keep Tre and Morez and recruit the crap out of a big, athletic guard- sounds like all we needed to do last offseason is find one player... But instead we let most guys go and got no athleticism

For what Tyler preaches about shot quality we took a lot of BAD shots tonight
