What list are you referring to? I think I missed that.

Among other things, absolutely the gold-standard for game production.2:30 on CBS it is. We love to see it.
I would have also preferred a 2:30 kickoff for Homecoming.So far the time for each game has been very good for tailgating except the EIU game.
The humorless poor sport Michigan coach versus the sardonic and quick-witted Illinois coach, some things are truly timeless.Michigan coach Fielding Yost said, "All Grange can do is run," to which Zuppke, referring to a famed opera star of the age, responded, "And all Galli-Curci can do is sing."
I never watched the original broadcast (b/c I was there), and just tuned in here for the ending. But a couple things:For those who want to relive — or experience for the very first time — the last time Michigan at Illinois was on CBS, here it is in all its glory. I’d love to see the stadium packed and rocking’ like it was back then.
Talk about a list that didn’t age well.
In 100 years, we went from this to ESPN screaming heads like Stephen A Smith.Red Grange drew national attention for his performance in the October 18, 1924 game against Michigan, in the grand opening game of the new Memorial Stadium, built as a memorial to Illini students and alumni who had died in World War I. The Michigan Wolverines entered the game as favorites, having won a national title the previous year. Grange returned the opening kickoff for a 95-yard touchdown. He then scored three more touchdowns on runs of 67, 56, and 44 yards, all in the first 12 minutes of the game. In the second half, Grange scored a fifth touchdown on an 11-yard run and also threw a 20-yard touchdown pass. To top it off, playing defense, he intercepted two passes. Michigan coach Fielding Yost said, "All Grange can do is run," to which Zuppke, referring to a famed opera star of the age, responded, "And all Galli-Curci can do is sing."
The game inspired
Grantland Rice to write this poetic description:
A streak of fire, a breath of flame
Eluding all who reach and clutch;
A gray ghost thrown into the game
That rival hands may never touch;
A rubber bounding, blasting soul
Whose destination is the goal — Red Grange of Illinois!

16-13? I was there and think that’s right. Nope! 16-6. Don’t trust a 40 year memory. I was 13 at the time.Correct me if I’m wrong, but the last time Michigan at Illinois was on CBS (1983) the outcome was pretty memorable.
