At least it's not our chain of command letting us down nowadays?

I just do not understand the Ty Rodgers situation with the outcome of this season. Tre White can’t see the floor now. We complained about playing 4 on 5 last year with him, but that’s what we’re doing with Boswell out there now anyway. At least Ty gave us height, hustled and played his role
Boswell has been invisible on offense. He’s playing scared on that end. Doesn’t make sense. I can’t imagine how anyone is watching him right now and saying he should be getting more PT than DGL.
I’m mean, are DGL and Tre still sick?

I would have no issue with hiring coach O. He got fired from UCF. But guess what players are paid now. He is amazing. Can guarantee he would gut staff and bring in his team. He is phenomenal! Enough is enough. To much money for, "family ties".

Give Sean Miller or Chris Beard our NIL and watch them go to WORK …
I know Chris Beard comes with baggage but those charges were dropped and most importantly Ole Miss gave him his second chance so with that said yes Chris Beard will do great here. I am not calling for Brad's head but it's fun to think about a post-Underwood era cause Brad is getting up there and like you said Indy, Brad has mellow out big time. Lol.

Beginning of the end of Illinois basketball being a threat

MSU played great and had a great gameplan. They would have beaten most everyone tonight. That said, we really need to fix some things and make some changes and we're just not doing it. Our second half performances are very telling that we just are not making the necessary adjustments. And our rotations are killing us. Lost to a better team than us and unfortunately there's becoming a lot of those lately.

Plain and simple, we missed on several transfers this year and our coaching just hasn't been able to get our team where it needs to be. At this point, goal needs to be to get some continuity going to next year, and coaching the kids emwho are going to be part of that up the best we can. We'll make the tourney this year, but us winning 2 in a row will be a challenge, let alone 6.

How many players and assistant coaches did he run off last year? This does feel like a Calipari situation, at least 2, maybe 3 NBA level talents on the floor and they can't scheme one basket in 7 minutes. I'm all for one and done, but someone like Coleman could really help this team.

So...we nearly repeated the UCONN debacle...thankfully MSU is not as good

One second weekend in a career doesn’t lie. When it matters most Brads team always fold. There’s always an excuse. It’s time for a change.

What makes this season so tough is there's nothing to hold on to here, man. We have one guy returning and he's barely getting minutes. Yeah, we have talent, but I feel so little attachment to this roster. This isn't what college sports are supposed to be.

And then there's the assistants, which now feel like a serious heat check. We lost two who helped lead us to our first Elite Eight since 2005. Yeah, we did fill one of the jobs with a familiar face and I'm happy to have OA back, but man, we lost a Chicago guy and one of our own in Chester. Brad thought he could get the job done with anybody by his side. Pretty darn clearly, that's not the case. Both our offensive and defensive schemes have been dumbfoundingly bad this season. The fact that we could have had Chester drawing up our defense and instead have Hammer is infuriating. And then his son is leading the offense. Simply not good enough.

I love my alma and I'm always gonna cheer like heII for it, but jeezus, what the heck are we doing here? We took a massive risk in how this team and coaching staff was assembled and thus far, it's a pretty resounding disaster.

7/33 on 3's tonight - 21%. Rinse, repeat, lose.

MSU shot 12 3's for the entire game, and won going away.

On the radio post game, Deon said it all. We were shooting way too many jump shots, whereas MSU was taking it to the basket. Why is this so hard for Brad and the other coaches to comprehend? We don't shoot the three well, so just STOP.

TJ and Domask carried Brad to the elite 8 …

The switch to booty ball was a good call … But when you’ve got the 2nd best player in CBB … And another all big ten guy … Makes it a lot easier …
Brad rescued Illini basketball from the depths of basketball hell that Weber and Groce banished us to. He'll have my gratitude forever on that. Elite Eight last year was great. But the man is as stubborn as they come and unfortunately, his stubbornness is keeping us from reaching the next tier of CBB.
