Out rebounded, out hustled and out toughed by a desperate team. Still disappointing.

No. Just no. What is happening on this board? Are some of you only checking the score and not watching the game?!

Because of all the adversity he had to overcome because of his own actions.

Tyler and staff better watch the last Nebraska and MSU game again because izzo saw what seemed to bother Keaton and expand on it. Physicality, double team, body, and force to funnel help.

All hes gonna see the rest of the year. Come up with a plan

My wife was loading the dishwasher after the game, and I threw a Fears trip move on her. We had a good laugh. Said something about hoping I like the couch.
In that scenario mine would have demonstrated the between the legs kick to me AND made up the couch

Definitely played scared  Jake was terrified as he sank 2 FT to force OT.

They didn't lack effort. It was a war. Lost a road game vs. top 10 team with very suspect officiating (particularly in OT) while missing KB.

I think MSU is a deeply flawed team. You force Fears to shoot, you beat Michigan State. You let him penetrate and force contact to get him to foul line, you play right into his game. Wasn't a fan of playing man as much as we did because of that, but we still had ample shot to take this game.

If we lived in a just world, the league would step in and suspend Fears. And if we were playing a pickup game, he'd be missing a whole lotta teeth.
Idk his post game interview sounded like a changed young man...😂 he's so full of shi and only says what conviens him at the time. Hopefully he learns to take true accountability at some point. Great game from him tho🤷‍♂️

Really wanted to win that just as a 🖕 to MSU. But they always get away with this 💩.

Wishing Brad says something about the reffing and Fears cheap shots in the post game presser.

I just hope we don’t lose confidence after this. Especially Wagler.

2 rebounds tonight for Tomi in 29 minutes = not gonna win if this continues

I know it's not normally the shot you want, but Keaton had a lot of opportunities to take a step back 23 footer and never seemed to want it tonight. It's tough to get the whistle on a drive on the road, especially there. Maybe he just wasn't feeling it tonight, but he just wasn't good tonight. That's the biggest reason Illinois lost, I believe. But he is a Freshman, after all.

Agreed that Tomi's 5th foul was dreadful, and the next one down that Fears got an and 1 on.

The refs were fine. MSU outrebounded us by 10 - statistically speaking (over the past 5 years) we have a 1 in 12 chance of wining when we are outrebounded by +10 or more. The officiating isn't going to change that. Like a said, alot more positives than negatives from this game. The 5 bigs has its limitations and Izzo and Fears showed that. When Boswell returns - we won't get beat off of a staggered screen dribble as we have been since Purdue. This team has un believable composure.

These 3 refs had their collective heads so far up Izzo's posterior that I swear I heard a loud POP when the game was finally over.

And Steven Smith should never be allowed to broadcast any MSU game.

OT loss against the #10 team at their place, it shouldn't even though they ignore the garbage officials

I don’t understand why this take is getting hate? I think it was pretty obvious they were more physical and more mentally tough the stretch. Couldn’t rebound, couldn’t shoot, Keaton was terrible, refs sucked. All happened.
Because it’s not correct. Out rebounded yeah but out hustled and out tough, hell no. We led for the majority of the game. There’s also the factor that one guy on the opposing team kept flopping on his way to the basket.
