 Feel sick for Dudek. Losing another season has to be the pits after doing all the rehab to get back on the field.

Never been so upset to have info shared with me be correct.

It's going to be so hard for him to trust his body. He was such a great athlete and ran great routes with hard timely cutting. Have to wonder how anyone could feel comfort in those hard plants with that leg after his body failing him twice.

There was an NFL career for him without a doubt, I'd love to see him have an all-time comeback story and have that still be a reality.

This sucks.

I saw this thread on the page and thought for some reason somebody had bumped last year's. =(

We need two priests: one old, one young......also, some holy water to be sprinkled on the entire squad before and after each practice. Can I get an amen? Tough loss for the football team. Next guy up!

I believe you can. I think Corey Lewis was here for 6 years right?

Redshirt - five years to play four. Medical redshirt - 6 years to play four. BYU redshirt (because of missions) - 27 years to play four. If Dudek didn't already get it, he will get a medical and his redshirt year. So, likely will have three years to play AFTER sitting out 2016 season and 2015 season.

Des Cain and McGriff will get plenty reps

Do folks really come back from this after twice on the same knee?

Seriously, what is the chances he comes back to even 50 % of his former self? Or what is the chance he even comes back at all???

This sucks. Feel terrible for Dudek. I really liked watching him play. He was a beacon of hope a couple years ago.

I'm not holding my breath. I want it to happen so bad because I feel for the kid and he was such a great player. You could tell he loved the game.

But if I'm being honest, I think we have seen Mike Dudek's best year here already and he will not be the same receiver when he comes back.

Again, this is just my opinion based on being pessimistic when dealing with these types of injuries. But, what I HOPE is that he fully recovers and becomes a freakin All American around the same time Lovie's plan starts coming to fruition. (Mikey's 6th year)

Just horrific. Kid's a once-every-decade kind of talent for Illinois football.

The pessimist in me says the chances of Dude K ever being a big contributor are likely over.

In general this is terrible news and I am not sure he will ever be quite as good. But if I am digging for silver lining somewhere. Maybe he will get to be here when Lovie and the staff start to turn around the talent level. He may be on more competive teams. :thumb:
