The Florida A&M game will NOT be rescheduled

B10 games, no idea, but fully expect them to be rescheduled

The big(ger?) question is how many days for a player on C-proto to be out? Is it 14, 10, or 6? And, when did they test +ve - the count starts from that day. Since they announced the news today, I would count 10 days from today.

So, reschedule MN and MD. And propose to reschedule NE too (Michigan rules). In which case we will have to play a very compressed set of games down the line.

I mean, the conference should be reevaluating the way it treats covid game cancelations and do everything in its power to reschedule them or it's going to have an absolute mess on its hands. But I don't exactly have faith in the leadership of the B1G to take either a logical or proactive approach, so mess it is.

I don’t know how the conference HASN’T at this point, as it doesn’t seem like a very difficult decision that needs to be made. Conference games start this weekend, and I bet about half of them actually go on. Going to be absolutely appalled if there is a forfeit loss on our schedule from a no-contest that prevents us from competing for a Big Ten title…

I hope whoever tested positive is asymptomatic and remains that way.

Also, I hope I remain asymptomatic as I go through Illini basketball withdrawal.
Endorsed. And that those symptomatic suffer what most do: a nagging cold or mild flu at worst.

In addition, a heretofore unmentioned matter of paramount consideration is whether Bo Boroski might legitimately be quarantined until, say, mid-April.

The worst part, as sacraig points out, of all the Covid protocols is not being able to watch our Illini play the game at the level to which they have recently ascended, but also, for them, to have all that momentum, and the blessing of playing in front of a packed SFC crowd, taken away so abruptly. Let's hope play resumes soon so we don't have to deal with binge watching, reading, and taking care of remote schooled kids.

Dan, I hope you're relaxing with a beverage and taking some time off to enjoy the holidays. You're one dude keeping all of this running for the rest of us. I'm grateful. Sorry for all the times we collectively make that task more difficult for you.

According to B1G rules as they stand right now, if we can't play on Sunday, we forfeit.

Competition Involving Two Teams. If a team is unable to participate in a scheduled Conference competition due to COVID-19 and as a result the competition is unable to occur on the calendar day on which it is scheduled, the competition shall be considered a forfeit by the team unable to participate and shall not be rescheduled. In such case, the team unable to participate shall be assessed a “loss,” its opponent a “win,” and Conference standings shall be adjusted accordingly.

We would be the team to get screwed both by not having this policy last year and then enacting this policy this year.

A lot of conferences are changing this though. I would imagine BIG TEN will have to
