So Walters is the alternate to the Chelsea? I've got a full day planned for my trip. Breakfast at my daughters, head to the Lincoln IMAX to catch Capt America BNW, then find a brewery near MSG, Chelsea was considered but I'm not going to pay what they are asking and it looks like they are full? So yeah, looking for alternates for pregame libations.....
I'm also on the waiting list for Chelsea. If you guys end up at Walters I'll try to do the same.

Fox is airing the game as their Saturday night prime time college basketball showcase game, so I'm assuming it will either be Gus Johnson and Jim Jackson or Tim Brando and Donyell Marshall.
Hopefully, it's not Brando. I'm sure he'll spend two hours gushing about how wonderful Cooper Flagg is like he did for Dylan Raiola. Gus is Gus, but he normally at least is excited about everything.
Does anyone know if you can still go to the Chelsea Bell for the pre-game or is the whole bar closed for the ticketed event?

I am so jealous I can't make this game. I used live in NYC and one of saddest (and eventually drunkest) times was when Illinois get destroyed by Providence at msg in 2003. I would love to be there for this game and see Illinois reverse that result and get a win!

I'm lucky. Have seen the boys in MSG once. January 2019 v. Maryland. No one gave us a chance and yet we won by 11. Adonis de la Rosa ruled the paint v. Bruno Hernandez. (Did I really just write that sentence? I still can't believe what I witnessed.)
Ayo was a frosh. The MSU win (Dan Dakich "This won't end well for Illinois... it ended well") was 10 days later. My Maryland buddy, and his two kids and their spouses, with whom I attended the game were stunned. Much drinking ensued in Midtown to drown Terp sorrows. I needed no beer, merely sweet turtle tears.

But: I reviewed my fan contract and discovered, in the 2-point print at the bottom ("viewing this game may cause extreme mental distress, feelings of helplessness, hoarseness, Loyalty-Distress Syndrome, head-slap-induced traumatic brain injury, and apoplexy-related loss of consciousness"), that I am not in fact legally required to view the game if my sanity or bodily integrity is at risk!
