I'm surprised as well, pretty good fit in Oakland too. Very happy for him, loved watching him play.

Something I didn't find interesting about both draft picks was the analysis that they both have above average physical tools but are raw and need to develop. Seems like a pretty strong indictment of the former staff

I am a little surprised Bhebhe didn’t get picked . Wonder where he ends up as an UDFA

Maybe for Hobbs, but Green just switched from DL to OL a couple years ago. Curious if Green's transition was good or bad coaching. Did they figure out his best path to the NFL or simply couldn't load up at OL and needled better depth?

Congratulations to all the Illini who are getting their chance at pro ball. May all your dreams come true.

And condolences to those guys not picked up. Seeing an aspiration slip from reach is painful, no doubt. May all your hard work, discipline and studies favor you with an upward trajectory in every future role you shoulder, and every job you accept. You know what it takes, and you have what it takes.

Thanks for all you've done for the Illini, and good luck!

or saw the video of Josh jumping about 5ft straight up and figured that’s a skill you can’t teach , and can make good use of

According to Robert at Illiniboard, all the senior Illini that left (or could have left) the program this year will be at a training camp next year. (Whether it’s returning to the Illini or being on a pro team) So that’s cool!
