Dame Sarr didn’t declare for this year’s NBA draft; it was his choice. As a result, there’s no need to invite Sarr to the combine since he cannot be drafted. Sarr will be playing college ball next season.Good catch. Names checks out.

The focus on developing his point guard skills this season will pay big dividends for him
never thought about that before.... but i like your comparison!Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum
“Building his frame while maintaining his guard skills at 6’8” would be Jayson Tatum…that’s what I’m implying if he gets there.Hes obviously not the same level of physical specimen that Tatum is but the skill sets are pretty similar.
I also think Will has a lot of potential to improve his athleticism considering where he started coming in last year.
Tough question. Could go with any of them. Given TSJ’s age and being behind Ant I will go with Riley. I see KJ as more of a game controller pass first type player. Will ask again - who scores more NBA points (sorry can't figure out how to do a poll)
Shannon
KJ
Riley
My vote is on Riley
Agreed. I’m honestly torn, if he comes back we would be LOADED. At the same time, having two first round draft picks would be huge for us.Although it'd be nice for us if Will Riley returned, it really does sell the message that we're a serious contender for developing players if he gets drafted in the first round.
The calculus for us as fans should largely be the same as it is for him. If he's going to be a high enough 1st round pick (maybe like 25th or earlier) then we should want him to go ahead and be drafted. If he's going to slip past that point, then we should want him to come back.Agreed. I’m honestly torn, if he comes back we would be LOADED. Pretty awesome if KJ and Will both get drafted in lottery and on the same team.![]()
NBA-bound Illinois duo projected to land on same Western Conference team
Round 2?www.thechampaignroom.com
This is a very good class imo and there is a ton of guys with upside. I could easily see Riley sliding because he's skinny and I don't think he will test very well athletically and his wingspan isn't great.Don't imagine that he slides like Ayo. Think he goes late teens/ early twenties. If was AK, would be having serious discussions about trading down a few spots for him.
No Illini on the list, but thought it was worth posting. This is essentially the Consolation Combine or the NIT of Draft Combines, if you will.

I think shooting is the biggest concern with him. If he showed out as a guy who could hit outside shots at a high rate I feel like he'd absolutely be in the draft conversation. In today's NBA that seems to be a requirement for a guy best suited as a stretch 4.How does Coleman Hawkins not get an invite to this? He had a somewhat down year on a bad team but still showed his all around game. He seems like a guy who would be great for an NBA roster with his size and skill set. A lot of names on that list I would take him over
Shot selection. I really feel Coleman would be viewed as an excellent stretch 4 NBA prospect had his shot selection been better. "Shoots when he shouldn't, passes when he should".I think shooting is the biggest concern with him. His favorite move... the up fake used to drive me crazy...Shot selection. I really feel Coleman would be viewed as an excellent stretch 4 NBA prospect had his shot selection been better. "Shoots when he shouldn't, passes when he should".
Perfect assessment. He's so versatile but he passes up so many good shots to then tries and make a spectacular play resulting in a terrible shot or turnoverShot selection.
