In the last 10 years, the Bulls have finished 8th or better in the East twice. (3 playoff game wins) In the same span, the Clippers have finished 8th or better in the West 7 times. (28 playoff game wins)

The Bulls certainly have a better overall history, but recent history is not close.
That's true, but I'm more talking about individual player development as opposed to team wins and losses.

Gotta be honest, even though the Bulls are absolute butt right now, I'd still rather he go there than to the team where careers go to die...
Based on what exactly? Who is the last top 5 pick whose career has died because they were picked by the Clippers? Last top 10 pick they had played over 700 NBA games with 445 starts, and last top 5 pick was a 6x All-Star.

Careers go there to die because they keep signing 35 year olds.

Wagler wants to be SGA? Guess who drafted him and then traded him a year later for an old guy?

And SGA's career subsequently died or flourished?

I mean if the original premise was that the Clippers have a recent track record of drafting really good players and subsequently trading them into ideal situations then fine. But not sure why we wouldn't want that for Keaton, sounds amazing.

Keaton will be fine. When is Andrej withdrawing from draft?

The Clippers recent history doesn't include picking many guys in the first round... They traded 6 of them (along with SGA) for Paul George. Since that trade (2018), their highest pick was #21. (4 of those years without a 1st rounder at all, picked 30th twice)

We really don't know if the current Clippers' staff is good at developing players or not. They haven't spent much time trying.

Fortunately for LAC, the string of pick swaps and outright giving them away to OKC is over after this year. (though the Thunder will still be getting extra picks from it next year, due to trading Nique Clifford for SAC's 1st rounder next year. Talk about all-time trade values... Sam Presti is not the guy to swing a trade with...)

Man we are really bored. People picking silly semantic battles about Dre returning and our #9thman. Now this.

It’s only May. Pace yourselves, gents. You have the NBA playoffs. French Open. UCL final. A World Cup in the U.S.
I think you just outlined why people are spending so much time on here. I had to look up what a UCL final was lol

Well, let's take everything into context. Their GM crumbled their future, while giving OKC theirs with one trade. So, they haven't had a ton of picks to screw up. Their whole operation is a dumpster fire.

The literally traded the below away for Paul George:
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • F Danilo Gallinari
  • 2021 Unprotected First-Round Pick (via Miami)
  • 2022 Unprotected First-Round Pick (via LA)
  • 2023 First-Round Pick (via Miami)
  • 2024 Unprotected First-Round Pick (via LA)
  • 2026 Unprotected First-Round Pick (via LA)
  • Pick Swap Rights in 2023 and 2025
This is worse than the Bulls, which is saying a LOT. The way they spend money on free agents and those careers completely stall is incredible.

So, yes, you are correct, they didn't mess up the 2009 Blake Griffin pick, let's just say their decision making, forward thinking and development of a program has been less than ideal.

Exactly. I'd rather watch reruns of the Golden Girls than any of that. I suppose checking in on the NBA Finals for a few minutes on a slow evening isn't off the table.

Yeah it’s a worthy investment to be into other sports or hobbies vs. Illini basketball exclusively which only runs for 4ish months of the year (barring a Final Four run).

I grew up in Chamabana. Went to Uni High during the 2001-2006 glory years. So I get it. But it’s been good to not make Illini Bball an over-invested aspect of my life the way some Loyalty members seems to. No strong offense intended.

I can't believe I'm about to have to listen to Stephen A talk but I'll do it this one time for Keaton

He only missed on his name, let's see, every time he said it. After listening to that interview, I don't think he could care less about college basketball. Absolutely generic questions --you can tell he's all about the NBA.
Class act for KW as usual though.

I had hope that those new PED games would have something fun to follow or bet on but the clean guy won a race! I want him tested!
