It's tough for one guy to totally dominate a basketball game if his teammates are that bad.

It would be a fascinating experiment though!

I have a hard time believing anyone would stop Jokic or Giannis. Anyone with extreme strength and size.
So my answer is 1.

Told a couple friends of mine that it would be the most Bulls thing with the way this season has gone that they'd lose to a Heat team without Jimmy Butler. They haven't proven me wrong to this point.

Watching all of these NBA playoff games, can we please start seeing some of the coaches wear anything other than black? I get they are probably in the Steve Jobs mode of "I don't want to think about what I'm going to wear in the playoffs", but seeing all of the staffs wearing black casual is getting boring.

(Yes, I realize this is way down on the list of things I should give a rat's backside about. But if you're going to have a casual dress policy, at least take advantage of it and wear some different colors. . . )

The change in dress code has been a thing ever since the pandemic. I personally have no issue with them wearing the team gear and not the suit and tie that most used to wear. I think Thibs is the only NBA coach I see anymore that wears anything close to a suit and tie.

I completely understand that, and I also support not having to wear suits on the sidelines. I always thought it was only “well, we’ve always done it that way” that kept coaches doing that. My point was that coaches wear nothing but black now. Joe Mazzulla and Erik Spoelstra wear the exact same black shirt and black pants combo for every game I see the Celtics or Heat play. The Celtics have an iconic look with their green. The coaching staff has to have some green somewhere, right?

The green in the logo they have on the shirt is probably enough for them. Plus bright green might be a bit much to wear as a primary color for the coaches shirt. Black is a better look. The Heat's court is black at different points in the season so it's not totally out of the realm of possibility for them.

That's fair. As my wife can attest, I enjoy variety. If I was a Celtics coach, I'd probably wear white and green as much as I possibly could. I just wrapped up watching the Timberwolves game, and I know if I was a T-Wolves coach I'd wear blue or green a lot. Similar for the Suns - I'd probably wear orange as much as I could and mix in purple.

For years, I wore a lot of dark stuff. I'm trying to move away from that now. My wife says it's a mid-life crisis. :D

EDIT - and just as I finished writing this, I turned the Mavericks-Clippers game on and see the Mavericks coaches in blue. I enjoy the change of pace.

If there were ever two series that need to go 7 games, the Sixers-Knicks and Pacers-Bucks series are prime candidates. Particularly the Sixers-Knicks. Those two teams are rivals anyway, and the amount of bad blood building between them this series is fascinating from a neutral's perspective.

I keep reading how mid-range jumpers, runners and such are statistically losing plays. But I think that is clearly imbecilic: it takes ALL kinds of shots to win, not ONLY threes, layup/dunks or freethrows. For example, mid-range shots by Jamal Murray have won game after game after game for the NBA's defending champs. Take note, pooh-poohing this skill for collegians is out of synch with assessments made by NBA scouts:

While watching the Pacers put it on the Bucks, I’ve started down this rabbit hole. It is amazing the knowledge that these two have and the memory that is in both of these guys. Interesting stuff in my honest opinion.

If you have time, I’d recommend going thru these videos. I love hearing professionals have high level conversations. It always sounds so simple.
