Don’t agree in Hunter’s case. If he had left earlier, he probably ends up like Kofi where he makes less turning pro than staying in college and getting paid
I seem to be in the minority on this one.

I know he made good money thanks to NIL coming around while he was still in school (for 6 years)….but his game was much more NBA ready than Kofi’s…I think Hunter could’ve been developed when he was younger into a serviceable player in the league

I'm curious in what way?

IMO his shooting and passing was much more league ready than Kofi at that time of their career
Yeah, thats probably true, but I also don't think those are the primary reasons why Kofi wasn't drafted. I think the fatal flaw was that Kofi wasn't credible defending the perimeter, and would have been eaten alive by the NBA's pick and roll heavy offenses. HD actually has the same problem. He's also slow footed and unathletic, and doesn't give you much as far as rim protection. And while he was better than Kofi in the areas you mentioned, is he actually NBA caliber in either of them? I'm not sold on that. None of the skills stand out in comparison to NBA level talent.

I think in ways that are different to Kofi it amounts to the same thing. A guy who was a matchup problem in college that will not be a matchup problem in the NBA.

Nuggets finally traded Michael Porter Jr. The guy has been really inconsistent. Still curious what his freshman season at Missouri would have been like if not for the injury.

Definitely too inconsistent for what he’s getting paid anyway. MPJ would never get a max under the current CBA

Wow, playing like he’s healthy or the hand cuffs have been taken off. Or pick up offense is better than ours!

Bet he keeps Fletch on speed dial and his Washington S & C coach does, too.
Yes I'm sure an NBA S & C wants a college coach butting into his strength and conditioning program. What have these NBA guys ever done? Prepare players to play grueling 82 game seasons against the best basketball players on the planet? Pffft, whatever.
