and +/- a plus 16 to lead the team!
Welcome to the NBA, rook.
" He was all set for his NBA preseason debut. He initially operated in a second unit with a pretty young and fun group . . . The role for Jakucionis: play his pure point guard game and find the cutters. He did just that without a doubt. He started his stint by jumping the passing lane for a steal and run-out, followed by a pass to the trailing Keshad Johnson on the break. Shortly after, he drove downhill one-on-one, drew a couple extra defenders, and found the cutting Jaquez down the slot for a huge dunk over Wembanyama. Moral of the story: the rookie looked comfortable. His defense was even more surprising, as he had a bunch of good reps sliding his feet and getting stops. Very good initial showing for Jakucionis.

He’s one of a kind. Rail thin, not particularly explosive, but very skilled at creating shots for himself off the dribble. My natural reaction is to say a body like his won’t play in the NBA because I can’t come up with anyone similar to him that’s made it work with his skill level. Lamelo Ball has similar size/athleticism and has made it work but he’s far more skilled as a PG.

Wizards must see something though bc he’s playing more than Cam Whitmore who I was high on his rookie year in Houston but fell quickly out of favor with them
