After watching the Rockets/Thunder game I can say without a doubt that Reed Sheppard is a bust. He’s a short 2 guard that can’t keep anyone in front of him on defense. One of the worst top 3 picks of all time IMO. He has no NBA skills

I will say the Rockets starting lineup is wild though:

PG 6-8
SG 6-11
SF 6-11
PF 6-11
C 6-11

One unfortunate thing about NBC’s coverage is we won’t get Noah Eagle nearly as much on Big Ten broadcasts. Thought both broadcasts were well done last night. Mike Tirico is really, really good calling basketball-far better than football in my opinion.

The NBA on NBC is what I grew up on so I’m glad it’s back. The theme music got me in the mood. They should bring back Bob Costas to do some games

I think this Wemby guy might be good.

I like that they kept the Inside the NBA music, even with the move to ESPN.

One of the first things they joked about when they came back to the studio after the end of Spurs/Mavs was how many points Wemby would have put up on Shaq when Shaq played.

How did Baylor lose 15 games last year with VJ Edgecombe on their team? That dude is Jimmy Butler 2.0. With a bit more athleticism.

He never put up 34 in a game at Baylor. Shoot, he only score 20 or more 5 times... The court spacing seems to agree with him. That kid is an explosive athlete, and it looks effortless.

I believe KJ is ready to start playing now. He is wearing a black brace on his wrist that covers his thumb. Is that from the injury that he sustained last season? I believe it was on the Oregon-Washington trip.

I thought the injury at washington was his forearm. He wore a forearm wrap for quite a few games.
