So, why not just take Brown?
Brown + assets is a very good deal.

Makes a heck of a lot more sense than the proposed Miami deal, unless the strategy is to tank hard...So, why not just take Brown?

Are they keeping Herro?
Bucks crushed this trade. That is an incredible haul for the Bucks. Who is even left on the Heat to surround Giannis besides Bam?
the Bucks are like-I don’t see how Giannis and Bam play together. I don’t like this deal for either team.

Assuming they re-sign Norman Powell, I think Heat starting five is probably Davion Mitchell, Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Giannis, and Bam.
Bench will be thin, but that's not terrible? Gianni, Bam, and Powell is a pretty good trio.
Edit: Though now I'm reading the Giannis trade may have put them in a cap position where signing Powell may be difficult. If true, then kinda yikes. This trade makes a lot more sense if they keep Powell than if they don't.
He's a pretty good facilitator for a big guy. (21% assist rate) He has really improved there, and the Bulls could use that skill with the shooters they have.Bulls didn’t give up really anything for him, but that seems like quite a bite into that cap space for a guy who while still relatively young seems to be on the decline. They’re touting him as a rim protector., but his block numbers have fallen. I can’t remember the last time I watched the Nets. Are his numbers a reflection of how bad the’ e been?
Thanks. Well I hope you’re right. Certainly fills a need, but a rim protector whose bpg go from 2.5 to 2.1 to 1.4 to 1.1 is a little worrisome. Certainly not going to give you much scoring wise and not loving that career high last season of 61.6 FT%. If his rebounding numbers weren’t declining too, I’d feel better. He's a pretty good facilitator for a big guy. His other numbers have declined, but so has the talent around him. The advanced stats still suggest an above average player, and he's only 27. He only has 2 years left on his current deal, and the Bulls were swimming in cap space. They still have 30+ million they can spend. Clear position of need for Chicago, and they gave up next to nothing. He not the superstar they need to actually compete, but he's a great complimentary player. He's better at making those around him better than he is at standing out. (switching 1-5, help defense, outlet passing, finding cutters from the block)
His 4.8 Win Shares would have been second on the Bulls last year...
