They had to jam an extra SEC team in, though.Man WVU not getting in is brutal.
Hard not to see it as the committee using the NET ranking itself (as opposed as just for win categorizations), which they claim they don't do.
Indiana not getting in over UNC is probably the only one that doesn't make much sense at all. The Big 10 got the screwjob there. Much tougher conference than the ACC. They said Indiana and Boise St. were close....Once again, being vague. Outside of UNC's strong NET ranking, they have no reason to be in this field. I detest IU but I detest UNC almost as much after 2005 so leaving subjectivity to the side, no way that UNC should have gotten in over IndianaWest Virginia, Indiana, Ohio State, and Boise State were first 4 out.
Texas had 7 Quad 1's at least. They had to jam an extra SEC team in, though.
So 2nd 6 seed. I'll take it.

Go figure the AD of UNC puts them in….
But, he can have under the table conversations, can't he? C'mon now...this is collegiate athletics after all.Again, he cannot be in the room when they are being discussed. How tough is this for people on here to understand?
Well of course, because that would have put UAB in by necessity.Just explained why nc made it. Had Memphis lost today nc was out
