They need to update those win percentages.

Would not be surprised at all if BU sent a "congrats" text to Fred.

Pretty certain MSU with a win over MD today would own tiebreaker against MI. So if we beat Iowa tonight, we would play winner of MI/IU in quarterfinals. Is that not correct? Someone had posted it would be MSU/IU.

Never mind, Bigtex got it right.(y)

We'll be playing for the title. Iowa will be playing for a first round bye. Both teams fighting for something besides just another win. Stakes are high. Love this.

Refs did all they could to give it to Wiscy.
I thought the same thing. The Flagrant Foul 2 was a little too much. If you watch the play Johnny Davis was hurt from a misstep before he got fouled and fell out of bounds. Just a bad call. I also did not like the Technical on Alonzo Verge. He was fouled on a layup and he told the ref so and the Ref promptly T'd him up. He must have known he missed the call.

They've played in the last 7 days the way the Illini played March 4-7, 1999. Even more dramatic, however, b/c it's all been on the road. Can't ever recall a one-win, last-place team winning three straight on the road, two against ranked opponents.

The funniest thing is that if MN loses in Evanston tonight, Nebraska gets the 13th seed in BTT b/c it beat MN for its only other win in their lone meeting and both will finish 4-16.
That was a fun BTT!!!!!!!

Been 50 years since last place team has beat 2 consecutive ranked teams on the road

May their sweet corn grow plump and juicy, and their popcorn be without hulls until the end of their days.

Well...I wouldn't go THAT far. I still can't stand their football program, but thank you Huskers!

Verge didn’t open his mouth. Just stared

I figured the tech was for the smacking the floor plus the stare. Weak call though.
Agreed. The floor smack pissed the ref off, and from there he was watching Verge with an “if you do one more thing” mentality. So the look got him the T. And to be clear, that is ridiculous and terrible officiating, but it wasn’t just out of nowhere in reaction to “a look”.

But the charge reversal, the tech, and the phantom trip late whistle for when Davis stumbled on his own (leading to the flagrant 2)… pretty horrific stretch of officiating.

It looked to me like Verge didn't even SAY a word, and didn't even give the ref a dirty look. Just glanced in the ref's direction with a neutral look on his face, and got T'd up for it. Ref seemed to have a VERY guilty conscience
