If Brad would just own it … I wouldn’t be as upset honestly …

Screwed up in recruiting … Should’ve fired Hamer a while ago … Gave Tyler too much responsibility …

Just own it …
Do you feel he sometimes "whines" and makes excuses?

I just don't get why BU allows BH to play? He'll have one good game out of five, and some will say "told you so." But, what about the other four putrid games?

The going is getting tough, and BU, staff and players are just not cutting it right now. Man, have we digressed.

For a team that is supposedly full of shooters, we're not very good at making shots.
This. He built this team with a one in, four out philosophy. The issue is the one in us the best player on the roster and he isn't available and the four out are all bad shooters.

I remember after MSU when we were told that Tomi had strep throat. Good call guys. Even our doctors aren't accurate.

This team is the exact opposite of what I expected at this point of the season.
Never Again Ew GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Yeah, given how the early season was trending, I was expecting us to be truly dominant by now. I don't know what is going on. Is it the illness? The fact we rely on younger players who haven't faced adversity like this? Poor coaching? All?

I don't even know, but this is t even very fun to watch. It's one thing to watch a mediocre team fight hard and lose. Its another to watch a team with multiple future NBAers lay down and die.

And sometimes he can't see the forest for the trees.

There is just an extremely large gulf between this team's floor and ceiling and they seem to play closer to their floor way more often than you'd expect at this point in the season. Maybe this is just what happens when you have so many new players all at once.

I’m losing patience with Underwood. Not because I don’t appreciate the success he’s brought to Champaign, but because he doesn’t seem to have the coaching acumen to pull it off in close games compared to the talent he has on the team. It’s sad that even inbounding is a struggle for a team that supposedly has great passers. This is on the staff 100%.

At this point I just want Tomi to get healthy and ready for March. We are so much better with him in the lineup

Brad and the staff are one of the best in the conference at recruiting talent. But in terms of coaching X's and O'x, they are in the bottom half.

Guys I’m sure Ben is a great kid but he should not be playing more than 15 mins a game.

Swapping him for DGL in the closing seconds was boggling. Then have him start the OT and put up two quick bricks…

This is inexcusable on Brad.
Brad will point to his 7 rebs and 2 blocks as reasons to continue to start him. He is an offensive liability who has a breakout game once every 5-7 games

Atrocious shooting and offensive execution. Puzzling substitutions at key moments. Horrible game plan.
Out coached-out played… again. Brad Underwood should be thoroughly embarrassed. His players should be as well.

I think Brad is stubborn and refuses to shake up the staff …

No secret I’ve been calling for changes for a couple years …

Hamer stinks … Tyler should’ve got his coaching start elsewhere … You don’t get to start your coaching career at Illinois … Not how it works … Gotta prove it …

Brad sticking with Tyler and giving him and Hamer responsibility has been part of the reason we’ve lost good assistants to other jobs …

Inexcusable performance. Shooting is one thing but turnovers must stop.

Guys who were all that in high school need to wake up and realize they aren’t all that now - this isn’t street ball.

I honestly wonder if he is having health problems or something.

This is drastic but maybe less passionate Brad = care less Brad = comfortable Brad = Team lays repeated turds as a reflection of lessened passion by the coach
