How many of those guys get an invite with Cubit or Beckman and staffs as coaches?

Smoot for sure. Phillips likely. Chunky more iffy and Hardy Jr wouldn't have been at Illinois.

I wish all of them the best, but I'm thinking Phillips is probably the one with the highest draft potential and has more NFL-type skills. Would love to see Nickerson get a shot with some team the kid has massive heart.

Any guesses as to which guys will get camp invites? Lunt is the only one I can confidently think will at least get a chance at making a team (other than these 4).

Smoot used to receive first-round hype, but now I could realistically see him and Phillips going as high as the early third round depending on their combine performances. I expect them both to do well, particularly amongst men their size in the 40 yard dash. Phillips might have a weak bench press showing.

Phillips: 3rd-5th... Most likely 4th

Smoot: Late 2nd-4th.... Most likely 3rd (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/2017/DE)
Clements: 6th-undrafted FA.... Most likely 7th
(Didn't make the list for his position)
Nickerson: 7th-undrafted FA.... Most likely 7th but could rise with a surprising combine performance

I did those projections based on a combination of the CBS evaluations and my own experience closing monitoring the draft, and specifically Illinois players, over the last five years. I kind of obsess over this event and I've gotten decent at it. Chunky is the only one where I disagree with the expert rankings.

Lunt will go undrafted. But will any teams try to sign him as a undrafted rookie and give him a try in camp? He does have a strong arm and that is one thing teams look for.
