It’s got to be a tough week ahead for many St. Louis area/Southern Illinois-area football fans...

Root for the LA Rams who left and betrayed St. Louis football fans? Or root for Chicago... the long-time multi-sport historic St. Louis rival?

What to do? Wash the car? Mow the lawn? Take a walk? Go to the Zoo? Or watch... and scowl?
It would be a cold day to wash the car this Sunday. Temps in the low to mid 20's in central IL. LOL

What a stupid decision from CJ Stroud. Just take the sack and protect the football. Lol.

who’s been their longest tenured coach the last 60 years ? Marty Schottenheiner ?

Believe it or not, Stefanski coached the most games for their franchise since Blanton Collier, who succeeded Paul Brown, and coached them through most of the 1960s. Belichick actually coached more games as a Browns head coach than Marty.

ha

the Raiders are the worst, but the Browns go thru coaches almost as much as they do - at least they do in my mind

Aaron Rogers is DONE! Looks like a 60 year old man out there.

Steelers are one and done in the playoffs again. They signed Aaron Rogers in hopes of a deep playoffs run only to put up 6 points tonight. Yikes. Definitely time for the man to retire.

Mike Tomlin has step down as Steelers head coach. 19 seasons Tomlin era in Pittsburgh has come to an end.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Steelers find a young coach who will give them many years like the previous 3 coaches have. It’s been 19 years, the league is more offensive minded. I think they should go for Nate Scheelhaase.

Baltimore seems like the best opening because they have Lamar. However, does Lamar still wants to be in Baltimore? With Pittsburgh the issue I see is how much does ownership care about winning? Aside from "oh we just happy to make the playoffs. Doesn't matter if we keep being one and done in the playoffs." Also, how committed is Steelers ownership in wanting to find a franchise quarterback? They haven't had one since Ben. Titans and Raiders are at the bottom. Titans ownership are too impatient.

The best two jobs are probably BAL and PIT. Best two coaches are Harbaugh and Tomlin. How much fun would it be for Harbaugh to go to Pittsburgh and Tomlin to go to Baltimore? That might bring some real fire to this AFC North "Rivalry". The NFL needs to make this happen.

Interesting caveat: Mike Tomlin was not fired, he stepped down. This means he is still under contract (thru 2027 from what I read) and a team that wants to hire him would have to trade for him - similar to how the Broncos had to trade for Sean Payton.

John Harbaugh with the Raiders would be interesting. Raiders have the number one pick, but Chargers are in the same division so do the Harbaugh brothers want to face each other twice every seasons? Also, reports are Packers and LaFleur are negotiating a new deal. If somehow the two sides can't come to an agreement and LaFleur is in the market for a new head coaching job elsewhere, then I think the Packers will be the number one destination for new head coaches.

ugh
while I hope he gets a HC gig, that franchise is a coaches graveyard.

As an aside Marty was a heck of a coach. He just got so so conservative when the playoffs rolled around. Lost so many times as the 1 seed between Cleveland, KC & San Diego. He got in the playoffs & turned into Woody Hayes 3 yards & a cloud of dust.

As a Bear fan, I can say if I was Green Bay I would be on the phone with Harbaugh or Tomlin. Green Bay still lacks that physical presence on offense. A "finesse" team still built around a Hall of Fame QB. Love is good but I don't think he's that good.

That lack of physicality has been a recurring theme for them from Favre thru Rodgers to today. It has cost them at times in the playoffs. They lack that ability to consistently just run it down someone's throat when the situation or matchup calls for it.

They've been a great franchise the last 30 years so not knocking them. Just saying that is an area that they could improve in.

That said, I hope they DON'T do that.

Watching GB fans descend into poster’s madness the last few days has been fun - their eyes are telling them LaFleur ain’t it but they are probably keeping him so they’re spinning up wild ideas about how “with the right assistants we can change the culture”

Matt LaFleur is simply a rich man’s version of Matt Nagy . Doubtful he ever is able to get it all figured out .

I hope GB signs hin up for 3 more years
