This was an awful call. Flipped the game.
NFL Thread 2026-2027
I must say I love the fact that even though this is a general NFL thread, it has basically evolved into a Denver Broncos thread.
Broncos had 24 passes and 4 runs at halftime. The score was 3-3.
JK Dobbins was really mad.
The offense is getting concerning.

Bo Nix had 9 passes of 10+ air yards. Only one of them was a completion (Pat Bryant).
It’s staggering how much worse the offense is despite:
1) adding Jaylen Waddle
2) getting Dobbins back
3) returning everybody from an OLine everyone had #1

Waddle: 185 yards / 26 targets = 7.1
Bryant: 133 yards / 12 targets = 11.1
Sutton: 86 yards / 22 targets: 3.9
Bryant has 9 catches in 12 targets.
Sutton has 9 catches in 22 targets.
Bryant needs to be WR2 at minimum.
ROBBED:
As a border conclusion, this should serve as a lesson to all Illini fans.
In the rare instance you get a favorable call (like Denver did against the Rams), NEVER apologize for it because it might be you getting screwed the very next game.

Broncos need to win convincingly. Chargers are the worst team in the NFL with all those injuries:
I don’t know how true this is, but Payton expected to take back play calling:
None of Bryant, Surtain, Moss are expected to be on IR, but they’re not expected to play against Chargers.
May have escaped avoided worst case scenario, but still a lot to figure out with that offense.

As expected:
