I am wondering if they could move the Iowa MSU game to Sunday the 14th so we could get the MSU game in on Weds or Thurs of next week.
I believe that's who gave King Arthur his sword, the watery tart.Houston played Our Lady of the Lake today. Is that a real school??
They are pure butter.I believe that's who gave King Arthur his sword, the watery tart.
I know what you're saying, but I'd just like to present the view that "it's only a game, we are getting loads of enjoyment watching the team rep our school this year, they are having fun, let's just hope they stay healthy while doing this for us," etc.COVID messes everything up. There can’t be a simple “winning %” rule or a “who won more games” when all games aren’t played.
There are too many variables.
The B1G will simply have to assess this as they go, try to get some make up games in, and then make a final determination.
I mean, if two teams find themselves as the clear #1 and #2 of the conference but have a disparity in total games/wins/losses (for example let’s say 13-3 Michigan vs 14-4 Illinois) and those two teams haven’t played, maybe set up a one game regular season matchup the Monday or Tuesday before the B1G tourney and have the winner take the regular season crown. They would be a top seed and wouldn’t play until Friday anyway.
Heaven knows what they will do if it isn’t a 2 horse race.
Bottom line: They have to be creative with this. If it were simply winning % NW could have stopped 3 games in and won it all. If it is only games won, good teams may be wrongly penalized for there own or their opponents COVID cancellations.
Either method by itself is unfair. Have to use some critical thinking/decision making in this one.
100% this. I !!!!! occasionally about this or that, but having this season at all is the one ray of sunshine I am clinging to by my fingernails. I just want to see this group of guys get to play in the tourney. Everything else is gravy.I know what you're saying, but I'd just like to present the view that "it's only a game, we are getting loads of enjoyment watching the team rep our school this year, they are having fun, let's just hope they stay healthy while doing this for us," etc.
I mean, the whole world over the last 12 months has an asterisk next to it. I think we'd survive without a clear B10 Champ this time around.
To me, all energy at this point should be spent on ensuring they can play the NCAA tournament safely for the student athletes, even if that means no fans.

Nice out of box thinking...not sure B10 are willing to do multigame shuffle, but makes sense.I am wondering if they could move the Iowa MSU game to Sunday the 14th so we could get the MSU game in on Weds or Thurs of next week.
Those should be forfeits.Would you still be saying this if Illinois is a win or two short because some of their cancelations don't get made up?
Another possibility is to include BIG tournament games in final standings. Particularly if the pairing could be done in such a way as to match up missed games.COVID messes everything up. There can’t be a simple “winning %” rule or a “who won more games” when all games aren’t played.

It's very hard to imagine a better year when you consider how the Illini are playing AND Kansas, NC, Duke, and Kentucky are all sucking wind. A dream scenario to be sure.I think (for the most part, I can’t speak for anyone but myself) the baseline stance for the majority of people is “We are lucky to be getting to watch sports during a pandemic and even luckier with this REALLY good team. So let’s just enjoy the ride.”
With that line of thinking as our understood starting point, we all branch out and talk about things like how to crown the appropriate regular season champ and if teams are taking advantage of the COVID rules by ducking games.
It’s sort of like when people ask new parents-to-be if they want a boy or girl and the parents-to-be say “we want a healthy baby”. Well yeah, that’s a given, we all want the baby to be healthy. If the baby is healthy, do you have a gender preference?
Sparty pulled a player during the game, who is now in isolation.I am wondering if they could move the Iowa MSU game to Sunday the 14th so we could get the MSU game in on Weds or Thurs of next week.
Clearly, it wouldn't be fair for the first place team to play the second place team without (checks notes) playing lower caliber teams first. If the lockdown ends Sunday, why was the game postponed?

I guess it is what it is, but the B10 is handling this poorly. Make your decision and then be prepared to answer questions and defend how you did it. The exact opposite of what they are doing. Kevin Warren has a tough job. He also is clearly not up to it for some reason.Clearly, it wouldn't be fair for the first place team to play the second place team without (checks notes) playing lower caliber teams first.
I agree with this he showed he was not up to in football. The ACC/SEC/Big 12 made the Pac 12 and BiG look silly this Fall. Warren thought every league would follow the BIG and when the did not? Didn’t the B10 establish that teams coming off quarantine could have 1 week to practice and get back into game form? I know other teams have come right back and gone back to playing, but if I were Michigan I’d want the time and if that’s what was agreed upon it’s difficult to blame Michigan. The B10 shouldn’t have allowed the 1 week for return to form to start with and we wouldn’t be in this position.Clearly, it wouldn't be fair for the first place team to play the second place team without (checks notes) playing lower caliber teams first.
