Maybe someone has mentioned this - but they need to go fast because of Altmyer. Otherwise he holds onto the ball as long as a mother holds her baby. His clock needs to go - even if it means a few more turnovers.

Was at the game, have not seen replay or heard explanation. How was the 1st down pass to sidelines, overruled. Looks like both feet were a good foot In bounds on the big screen, but only showed a couple replays and no explanation. Just no first down

It was because he went out of bounds and didnt get both feet back in before the catch. Basically he jumped from out of bounds.

He had been forced out of bounds. You must get back into the field of play to catch the ball. In the review, it showed his right foot was barely out of bounds when he jumped into the air to catch the ball. He did land with both feet in, but it didn’t matter by rule.
Had the Illini snapped the ball sooner on the next play, there would not have been a review.

Don't put ANY of this on the defense today. They were outstanding. The offense handed the ball to OSU inside 30 three times and the punt debacle gave it to them at midfield. They've had some rough ones(though Indiana doesn't look so bad now), but that's day wasn't one of them.

Just too many mistakes on the offensive side.
Punt gave it to them at our 38. All 4 were inside our 40. D and Oline were encouraging other than false start at the 1.

It looked like he re-established back on the field with his left foot… did he need both feet back inbounds or is one good?

Those two replays where OSU shouldve been called for obvious pass interference are why I have no voice now. HORRIBLE!!!

She was the field judge? Awful.

And the Line judge at on the west side was awful too all game.

Brett stayed calm, but talked at length to the white hat multiple times in the first half and before going to the locker room at halftime.

The risk is going three and out and leaving lots of time on the clock and gassing the defense.

There were three egregious missed PI calls, not two. There was one in the end zone as well, and it should have resulted in a first and ten on the two. Watching the IU and Oregon game, that penalty was called on an identical play. If I’m not mistaken, all three missed PI calls were by the same ref.

The refs did us no favors missing some PI calls, but at the end of the day we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. Can't do that playing against the number one ranked team in the country and expect a win out of it.

There are, of course, OSU fans on Twitter(I'm never calling it "X"...well except there) saying how we were holding their players all game, so we should "stop whining." Funny, I have seen about 9 or 10 different videos from various sites/posts on Twitter showing plays we got the shaft by the obviously-biased refs, but not a SINGLE video showing what OSU fans are claiming. Crazy how that works...

Bret said something very important about where we are and where we’re going. We played tOSU well enough to win but for the turnovers.
