I go there once a week for lunch, added it to my weekly lunch sites. Li’L Porgys is also on that weekly rotation.
We lived at 403 N. Race, right across from L'il Porgy's. We were stoked when that place opened (78 - 79 is correct!). Needless to say, we were regulars of course. Loved that food! I think there was an early Wendy's next door too.

Incredibly good cause it's cooked on wood! That's was their slogan. And yes there was a Wendy's next door. It closed and now it's Windy City Express (still good).

Listening to the Barstool college football podcast "Unnecessary Roughness" and they talk about the upcoming Illinois OSU game. They don't come out and completely say Big Noon is coming but they hint at it. Hope this is true and it can become a standard. I also go back and watch the TV broadcast after being at games and Memorial Stadium looks good on a bigtime broadcast. Still some room for improvement with the horseshoe but overall it displays well.
Ryen Russillo had The Bear on yesterday's podcast and he mentioned they'll be back in Champaign for Ohio State.

So I looked it up and as someone stated earlier Illinois is second to Michigan in all time wins versus the Buckeyes at 30 (Michigan is at 51). Next closest I believe is Wisconsin at 18.

5 days worth of staging / unloading trucks is a significant delivery!

Temporary seating for the rest of the season? Just a wild speculative guess on my part. Tho I doubt that would take 5 days.

Smells like a new scoreboard.
*No idea if they could install that in a week. But we've already seen renderings so have to think it's pretty far along.

Was there a similar street closing for several days last week before USC? If so, then we can definitely close the speculation.
do we really think we are getting BNK two weeks after last weekend ?

my guess is stuff for scoreboard . after osu game , it’s 3 weeks until next home game

could also be temp bleachers as we have had before in SEZ

If so, those additional seats should appear online soon.
Not to add to the hysterical speculation, but I saw exactly that happen yesterday..... The amount of tickets appearing for the Ohio State game has been 99 for multiple weeks. Yesterday, it inexplicably jumped up to 500. Now, the tickets site still says Ohio State is sold out, so I wonder if these 401 additional tickets are not going to be available for public purchase. The block of 400 seats are showing up as this:

Typically those NORTH: ENDZONE seats are in a "u" status which I believe is used for seats reserved for students.

Now bleachers that fill in the entire gap at the front of the horseshoe would fit way more than 400 people, so perhaps it would be pretty small. Regardless, I'm intrigued.
