On the plus side, Elzy got some tick and scored. Newton played well and got back in there after it looked like he might be injured. Everything else…

Play Feagin, Love and Paddock the whole game as a do-over and you never know....

I know it doesn’t matter right now, but Bret’s had some questionable decisions to got for 2 Pt conversions.

Take the extra point and make it 30-14 and it’s still a two possession game. You miss the 2 Pt try and it goes to 3 possessions. Not a huge difference between being down 15 or 16. But you don’t want to go down 17. I think he needlessly went for two against Toledo once as well.

Bret is supposed to be really good at details like that.

And I think we need a new QB coach and offensive coordinator.

I've liked Altmyer so far but that was rough today, just some really bad balls. Seeing Paddock made it clear that bad balls or not, Altmyer has to keep starting. Tough day at the QB position all around.
Yep tough day indeed. Was it windy today or something?

I think 1-2 was a reasonable expectation to start the season given the schedule. Improvement on defense, and now we need to focus next week on improving offense. Illinois should win next week if they play well and have a good matchup with Purdue in a couple weeks. I’m expecting continued improvement over the season with this team.

You need 2 out of 3 two-pointers regardless, so that call doesn't matter much. Going for one just delays the inevitable.

Big Ten West needs to break off, and form its own (new) conference. Let's call it the Great Midwest Conference and include Indiana + Michigan State. All nine teams play each other annually, plus 4 non-conference games.

TV payout is $70M to each member team, escalating 10% per year. Conference winner gets an automatic big to the Final 12 and plays for the Natty.
