One of the biggest reasons this team has been so inconsistent. Not enough shooters. Cannot double Pickett because of their shooting. That why they are a hard matchup for us.

I think this has been BU's hardest team to coach. We learned a lot about portal roster construction.

You brought 2 hired guns trying to improve draft stock into a team full of freshmen and a total player leadership void.

The older players haven't been listening to BU and the freshmen played their a$$es off at times.

Just stretch after stretch of wretched play on offense with enough defensive lapses to seal our fate.

Onward and upward. :illinois:

I actually don’t think we played that bad today but Penn State is just better. Better coached, run better stuff, and play the game smartly.

Eh what can you do? It’s been a mediocre season. Individuals are greater than the sum of the parts. Let’s hope this isn’t the norm but it feels like seasons like this are the norm unless another Kofi comes in.

I'm not angry, but I am disappointed. Should not lose to a sh*t team like that. Bad matchups, but we didn't take advantage of our strengths - we're a bigger team, but didn' take advantage.
NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER! What is the coaching staff thinking? 2 PENN State in foul trouble, nobody fouls out. For the talent Illinois has, they laid an egg this year! Please lose the next game!

Unless we make some noise in the tourney, this season was a huge let down. Lots of questions and concerns right now.
Only silver lining I can find is that what we’ll lose in talent, we might gain in continuity/leadership? The transfer experiment is just not it, we never had a “rock” during hard times … and that’s the difference between a 4-seed and a 9-seed, quite honestly.

I don’t think this at all the norm. But, we really need a point guard. In the worst way.

I think the immediate transfer rules with the transfer portal are a though pill to swallow for this program. Underwood needs guys he can mold over multiple years. But any high talent that isn't getting immediate tick will leave, and aren't here long enough to buy into that culture.

As you saw today, very little heart from the guys we are looking to for points.
