True. Plus how can the PSU player commit a flagrant foul ON THE FLOOR and then "make the basket". Doesn't a foul on the floor sort of stop the play? Not to mention that the ball didn't even go in. I just don't get that.
Basically the 'genius' ref called:
1. Foul on Feliz in the act of shooting
2. The basket was 'good' cause, well, none of the 3 refs on the floor were actually doing their job and paying attention - so they took the word of a PSU player
3. After review - it was determined that it was an F1 on the PSU player
4. You can't / don't take away the original foul call - regardless of how bad the call was (must be embarrassing to have to go over and see how badly you screwed that up)
5. For some reason, during the review - NONE of the refs thought it was necessary to review whether or not the shot went in - so basket good, foul on Feliz, and 1 free throw awarded
6. Wait, someone, somewhere pointed out that the shot didn't go in - so refs have to go back and review that minor detail
7. 'Gee, upon further review, we screwed that up too', 1 more FT for the PSU player ('our bad') because he was in the act of shooting (can't change that either)
8. All 3 refs should really be looking for a rock to crawl under at this point - cause you really have to be trying hard to be that incompetent
Net is, even if they did call a foul on Feliz, it should have been on the floor, no FTs for PSU and F1 on PSU after review - FTs for us, and the ball.
