Not sure how you can blame anything other than the Illini for this loss.
You would have thought the Groce era would have really hammered home the importance of securing a point guard. Domask has been amazing. Imagine if he was playing his natural position because we landed a point guard. Smdh.
Can we add no in bounds play.
Coleman psyched himself out on that. The delay was cheap, but you could tell it was bothering him way too much.

Much as I love Dmask he’s not the guy to bring the ball up in clutch time when be pressed. Last two timeouts wasted trying to inbound . And special shout out to Brad for once again sitting there with his thumb parked up his rear the last 2 minutes.

I honestly just feel dizzy and unsure what just happened. I’ve never gone from so relieved we’d win (up 14) to having zero faith a team could win more than one NCAAT game in a manner of minutes…

We seemed pretty lackadaisical up seven with like seven minutes left. Gotta keep the hammer down at least until you're up 15 or so, with under 5 left. These things can happen if you're only up a couple possessions late in the game. Can't allow that situation to arise.

(1) Went for a steal after TSJ's miss rather than running back on defense, allowing a 3-on-1 which led to PSU hitting an open 3 pointer
(2) Didn't come back to help a trapped TSJ off the inbound
(3) Missed two free throws
(4) Fouled PSU's three point shooter

That's true, but CH had a negative reaction to it. Once he reacted negatively, I knew he was going to miss both dam free throws. He's a senior--how about regrouping and not letting the delay bother him. No excuses.

We have no real guard play. We have guys trying to do it, and they do well but ... they are wings. Often that works to our advantage -- size, rebounding -- but we get killed all over the perimeter owing to footspeed and awareness issues.
