Ty will start and will play the majority of the minuets even if he struggles. The staff has made too much noise about "he's our PG".
Especially end of close game situations where FT% will be criticalTy will get the lions share of PG minutes until he shows he can't .....then it will be by committee ....dictated by matchups and in game situations
It will be Ty. And based upon what I've seen, I'm thinking he'll struggle with the roll. But it's Brad, and he's proven to be a stubborn customer in the past (Remember the pick and roll switching that wasn't working at all and how long we'll be stuck with it?). I'm hoping that Brad will eventually give DGL a chance given how well I understand he's done so far. At least DGL has the skills to grow into the position if not the experience. But given how much he's talked up Ty as his point guard so far, I'm not optimistic.
He probably thinks that it is impossible to beat.I think Brad really liked PSU’s PG bully ball last year and sees Ty as our version. Back smaller guards down into the lane and either shoot over them or kick out to shooters. PSU put on a clinic against us.
Trying to be optimistic here. I have major concerns with this as well.
Hopefully they are NOT going easy on him to build his confidence. Every opponent will test him without a doubt. He needs to be ready for everything.I'd be curious what the coaches are trying to throw at him in practice, or if he has a preferred shot selection away from the basket. Even scoring at 2 levels is better than 1.
